Kilworthfox Posted 7 January 2007 Posted 7 January 2007 As we all know ST holders have recently lost the 10% discount from the club shop and that has been replaced by the teamcard scheme. I beleive from many posters on FT that this a very unpopular scheme with you all, as it is with myself! Yesterday I got a freebee ticket with me uncle in the Lineker suite corperate bit, and they gave 15% off to anyone who was in there just because they were in there! Basically you can support the club through thick and thin, spending money on ST's over the years, and they don't reward you at all, or become a fly by night supporter who comes in for a meal on the off chance and get more of a discount than the loyal support. I thought that this was a discrase! This must happen every home match. Those at the top could not give a monkeys about the fans, they just want to keep in with the hob-nobbers, poor show, I was very angry with this. I will not be shopping at the club shop anymore!
DanTheFoxBhoy Posted 7 January 2007 Posted 7 January 2007 What's even more disgraceful is the spelling in the thread title.
City Lad Posted 7 January 2007 Posted 7 January 2007 the club needs to understand that we are their most important fans
Flynny Posted 7 January 2007 Posted 7 January 2007 I saw this thread but didn't want to seem like a **** in ignoring the topic and just pointing out a spelling error. Looks like I made the wrong call.

Guest Posted 7 January 2007 Posted 7 January 2007 You can always purchase a members card to have a discount in the Megastore.
Webbo Posted 7 January 2007 Posted 7 January 2007 You can always purchase a members card to have a discount in the Megastore. i think i spend enough on season tickets, programmes etc.
Guest Posted 7 January 2007 Posted 7 January 2007 i think i spend enough on season tickets, programmes etc. I think I'll take my tongue out my cheek now.
He's not bald Posted 7 January 2007 Posted 7 January 2007 i think i spend enough on season tickets, programmes etc. It is a disgrace...giving something back to ST holders as a thanks for our support wouldn't break the bank
Daggers Posted 7 January 2007 Posted 7 January 2007 It's simple. I emailed Jones to tell him that I'll not be renewing my ST at the end of the season and that I am not spending a penny on anything other than ticket from now on. And I haven't; no programs no nothing. I wouldn't say that ST holders are the clubs "most important" fans....but I feel shat on by the constant freebies being given away to everyone else. I'd be tempted to say that I feel we are treated as their least important...they've got our money so now we can sod off for all they care.

I'm going to do the same...if enough of us complain they might (just might) get the message!

Foxy1984 Posted 7 January 2007 Posted 7 January 2007 Myself and my brother bought a season ticket between us this season. We are both at uni and can't quite make every game, but we thought it'd still be cheaper to get one than but the individual tickets.... With all the freebies and discounts thats now possibly no longer true. We haven't bought programmes for ages or spent any money in the club shop and we'll continue to do so. We buy all our drinks before we go to the ground to take in with us, rather than paying stupidly inflated prices for bottles of coke. I'm not really sure what the benefit of being a season ticket holder is now.
