Fez of Mahrez Posted 20 January 2007 Share Posted 20 January 2007 Whojareckon? I would go: Hammond, Hume, Kenton, Porter, Kisnorbo - in that order. After that, nothing. Opinion me.

Fez of Mahrez Posted 20 January 2007 Author Share Posted 20 January 2007 Id say the same. Cadimarteri a little unfortunate not to be on the list. Looks overweight, unfit and fairly pedestrian so far IMO. He might squeeze into the top five if he gets fit.
JoeyB Posted 20 January 2007 Share Posted 20 January 2007 You're in it for giraffes, you. he might not be the best captain, but he could keep up with most strikers in the championship, and can make a good tackle too, hes done that numerous times this season
Cobbo Posted 20 January 2007 Share Posted 20 January 2007 Hammond, Hume, Cadamateri, Kenton, Porter. Kisnorbo is once he's got going, but not as explosive as the above 5 can be. Paddy is as quick as a constipated turd.
Thracian Posted 20 January 2007 Share Posted 20 January 2007 Hammond, Hume.... I doubt anyone else is especially quick. The other thing, of course, is pace with the ball under control. Then I might add Porter and take away Hammond. In the Academy too I would name Chambers when fit, McKay rather than Gradel because of his control and possibly Tom Tejan-Sie and Eric Odhiambo. It would be interesting to have some figures from the ergonomics people at Loughborough on the subject because we might all end up surprised. For instance, there's the speed with the ball I mentioned, but also speed with a turn thrown in.
Bert Posted 20 January 2007 Share Posted 20 January 2007 Hammond and Hume are our two quickest. No doubt. Stearman is quick, Paddy Mac is as well.
lildave3 Posted 20 January 2007 Share Posted 20 January 2007 Hammond and Hume are our two quickest. No doubt. Stearman is quick, Paddy Mac is as well. Kenton is our fastest defender i'd say. But to be honest, Hammond hardly ever utilises his pace so we don't see it often and i'd say Hume is our fastest.

hebangsthedrums Posted 20 January 2007 Share Posted 20 January 2007 Hammond by some way then hume, then stears, kenton and mayber porter, hough none aside from hammond are particularly quick. As for paddy mac having pace if that is true then elvis is johan cruyff

Just because Hammond never "utilises" his pace doesn't mean someone is quicker than him. What a ridiculos post that is, Hammond is our quickest player, end of. Jonbluefox9 Posted 20 January 2007 Share Posted 20 January 2007 Mark de Vries was our slowest player. Used to be comical watching him train during drills where the players had to do a jump then sprint. So cumbersome.
RowlattsFox Posted 21 January 2007 Share Posted 21 January 2007 hammond, hume, porter, kenton, kisnorbo. i read somewhere that johansson is actually quite fast in a straight line but he is just too slow on the turn.

Simi Posted 21 January 2007 Share Posted 21 January 2007 Hammond, Hume, Fryatt, Porter, McCarthy Fryatt was alot quicker last year. He's lost abit of the pace this season.
Milan Posted 21 January 2007 Share Posted 21 January 2007 More to the point, whos quick running with the ball, you know as that is the game. Elvis may aswell be as quick as Birch when he has the ball then maybe he wouldn't end up on his arse so much. Porter def fastest when running with ball.
