Geo V Posted 22 January 2007 Posted 22 January 2007 I reckon Longsiders is Ade in disguise who is upset that we thought he was shite?
davieG Posted 22 January 2007 Posted 22 January 2007 ''A club who have finished above you in the league regularly in recent seasons, who in their history have won more than you can ever hope to'' A worthy point ''a club who payed their debts rather than abuse the administration route'' A bit of a niggly one there. i have no doubt your club would do the same if faced with closure. . Don't encourage him, we did not abuse the administration route, we were forced into it.
potter3 Posted 22 January 2007 Posted 22 January 2007 Perhaps if clubs like you found out the truth instead of spouting and following the tabloid trash you would gain some respect. Article I didn't realise Eric Hall was Wise's agent. Bastard
Longsiders1882 Posted 22 January 2007 Posted 22 January 2007 Don't encourage him, we did not abuse the administration route, we were forced into it. And yet as a result of your actions the Football League changed its rules? Look whatever. We seem to have a decent standard player at this level for 150K.
potter3 Posted 22 January 2007 Posted 22 January 2007 And yet as a result of your actions the Football League changed its rules? Look whatever. We seem to have a decent standard player at this level for 150K. Yeah but even with the rule change we would still have got promoted, so it really doesn't make a difference.
Simi Posted 22 January 2007 Posted 22 January 2007 Well Kelly has confirmed that we were intersted in Joey. Shame I just hope we can get some players in soon.
Sods Posted 22 January 2007 Posted 22 January 2007 But it does show intent i suppose, i dont know why he had to monitor him though, he was with kelly for bloddy ages
Dr The Singh Posted 22 January 2007 Posted 22 January 2007 It's all irrelevant now, he's gone, and I can only add that maybe it won't be a bad thing, I mean I would like to see things 'freshen' up instead of bringing old laundry back. Who knows who\what is in the pipeline only MM knows!!!
luffbra Posted 22 January 2007 Posted 22 January 2007 LINK HERE (OFFICIAL SITE) Rob Kelly wanted Gudjonsson but was told we couldn't afford him ... "Joey is a player who we have monitored closely since he left, and we would have liked to have brought him back. I asked the question, but was told that we weren't in a position to do anything. "That is where we are and in the end there was nothing we could do about it. "Joey was our player of the season and if we could have brought him back then it would have given everyone a lift."
Simi Posted 22 January 2007 Posted 22 January 2007 But it does show intent i suppose, i dont know why he had to monitor him though, he was with kelly for bloddy ages He was probably monitoring him to see if he was available to us.

Leonisco Posted 22 January 2007 Posted 22 January 2007 Would've been a good signing, but it's not the end of the world.

Sods Posted 22 January 2007 Posted 22 January 2007 well it doesnt but i aint one to wreck a happy family! however if it was for the sake of a decent signing exactly, you will then have joey on the pitch as well as off it

MC Prussian Posted 22 January 2007 Posted 22 January 2007 burnley aint far from me either.... hmmmm how tempting the thought is hehe Uh oh... Stalker alert!
Jonbluefox9 Posted 22 January 2007 Posted 22 January 2007 It's not the first time Kelly's been to the board looking for a bit of money to do something and he's been told no. He wanted to bring Stead in on loan before Derby took him on loan. Ironically he scored the winner for Derby against us. He knew Stead from his Blackburn days and was very keen but was not to be. I know managers can't get everyone they want but these aren't massive money signings, just loans and small fee signings.
holly Posted 22 January 2007 Posted 22 January 2007 Uh oh... Stalker alert! uh oh i have been found out haha

The greedy bugger shouldnt have left in the first place
