Gavin Peacock (who) yes i do remember him but he was not exactly a great was he! Lee Dixon wow annalysis man! Alan Enthusiasum Shearer lets all talk about Newcastle and how i did not kick Lennon as i was England captain! Now Alan Hanson i like as i obviously do our Gary!

Graeme Le Saux left almost a year ago after Lawro took his place as commentator for England matches.

I've swapped the commentary on the cable over to R5live... ...and the half time punditry in the studio plunged new depths of banality. Linekar, Hansen, Shearer & Wright - a bunch of arse, the lot of 'em.

It makes me laugh how before the game, the pundits (Hanson, Shearer, Wright) are applauding the starting line-up, with quotes like "It's our strongest possible side", "I'm looking forward to seeing how Dyer does in his role" and "McClaren's going to have them fired up." Now, to the blindest, stick wielding football fan, it was clear that McClaren's line-up was utter w*nk, with tactics even worse. We all knew it, yet the BBC pundits prefer to lick McClaren up long with a lot of the other English players. Only after the final whistle when we lose do they then raise a question or two, suggesting the performance wasn't good enough, asking why Lampard was out on the left. If it wasn't for Sir Gary, there would be little reason to watch football on the BBC.

Motson is very annoying and whoever promoted Lawrenson to co-commentator is a fool. Poor pun after poor pun. Hansen may be boring but he actually tells it like it is and Lineker is a good anchor.

Hansen - Good bloke, knows what he is on about. Lineker - Great bloke, average/good presenter. Crooks and Carlton Palmer - Useless, dregs of the BBC Shearer - Unenthusiastic, unfunny but again knows what he is talking about. Lee Dixon and Gavin Peacock - Very below par analysists. Adrian Chiles - Very good presenter.
