He's the only player who's scoring in the acdemy this season who realistically can get in for the reserves. Looks like Wright and Stearman are in the squad for tomorrow then, let's hope they get some minutes though. We'll get mullered 4-0 tonight

He scores every week for the academy. Has to be one of the subs that haven't been mentioned yet.

Winning and losing is not vastly important. Its what the youth team get out of the experience. IF it makes them better footballers we can't criticise.
emmalcfc Posted 17 January 2005 Posted 17 January 2005 Muggleton might be up-front alongside O'Grady. I know he plays more of a mid-field role, but I can't see any of the others up-front.
Macca4lcfc Posted 17 January 2005 Posted 17 January 2005 subs are james graham, matt goodwin, me and luke baker. Id imagine doddsy is in the first tam squad or injured cos he aint involved

shen Posted 17 January 2005 Posted 17 January 2005 Elvis Hammond, Claus Jensen are half decent players 55658[/snapback] He's not a Swede you know and he's more than half-decent too B) also Alain Goma is a high-profile name in that line-up

emmalcfc Posted 17 January 2005 Posted 17 January 2005 2-2 Logan gave a peno away, not quite sure it was one though. But he'd made some excellent saves earlier in the game. I'd say that's the best reserve performance I've seen. The young lads did well
Mark Posted 17 January 2005 Author Posted 17 January 2005 Who scored? I assume Levi scored one from the pictures on the OS

As you may know, Danes and Swedes are age-old rivals (much like the English and Scots) and apart from a few exceptions, names ending with 'sen' are either Danish or Norwegian, and names ending with 'son' are Swedish

I corrected it in bold for you in my reply
emmalcfc Posted 17 January 2005 Posted 17 January 2005 Porter scored the first. I'm not sure on the second because my mate was asking me about offside, so I saw the ball go in, it might have been O'Grady. O'Grady was great out there. Dawson was aswell, not only was he great going forward, but he helped out defensively. With regards to what was being said the other day, about the 1st team bringing every man back to defend corners, they were doing that tonight aswell
Louise Posted 17 January 2005 Posted 17 January 2005 Our scorers were O'Grady and Porter according to the OS

I would hope that some of the younger players could be quick enough to launch a counter attack. As for 11 men at corners that is fair enough for the slow ones in Dad's Army, sorry the First team.
SilverFox Posted 18 January 2005 Posted 18 January 2005 Just got in. Quite an entertaining game tonight (well, it was better than the first team). Logan's uncertaity as to whether to come out and get balls or not cost us the match. On a lighter note, I thought O'Grady was good, Sheehan was good, but Dawson had a quiet game today. Looked good in terms of organising the team though, and still covered a lot of ground. Even though he didn't shine tonight I still think he has the legs in midfield that we need. What can I say, although it was bloody freezing, the chips were crap and I got caught in torrential rain on the drive home...I was entertained. More than I can say for Messrs Dublin & co. Off to bed, because I have an early start...night <_<
