Daggers Posted 11 February 2007 Posted 11 February 2007 Personally, I am looking forward to being able to sit and enjoy the game without all those ruffians banging the metal behind me. A nice quiet Kop, a flask of something wet and hot and a nice sandwich. It's going to be heaven, simply heaven.

lcfc_jme Posted 11 February 2007 Posted 11 February 2007 or you could go to N1 and sing your heart out for the lads! Dagenham Dave or Dave. or Disco Bob or whatever alias he wants to go by is a certified member of the flask brigade and will not want to do this. Though I feel if he has enough drinks before a game he may well change his mind and want to do it. After all, he will surely miss the banging behind him when all the "ruffians" leave.

Basingstoke Fox Posted 11 February 2007 Posted 11 February 2007 so the trick to a good atmosphere is lots of tea of course why didnt i think of it before?
Kilworthfox Posted 11 February 2007 Posted 11 February 2007 so the trick to a good atmosphere is lots of tea of course why didnt i think of it before? We can be sponsored by Tetleys or yorkshire that will go down almost aswell as the tea itself!
Nath Posted 11 February 2007 Posted 11 February 2007 i heard you had sold 350 tickets for block N already! now im changing my ticket tomoz! =D do you think you will sell out block N for cov game? i ma hopeing so because that would make it such an atmosphere, and hopefully egg on the team!

I personally don't think that we'll sell out N Block for the Coventry game - I reckon getting 800 to move the first time N Block has been available is too tall a task. On the other hand, I didn't even think we'd sell 200 for the block, so I'm not exactly the best when it comes to figures. Anything over 400 from this point onwards and I'll consider it a big success (obviously depending on the noise we make). a 50% sell-out of the block the first time it has been advertised and creating a lot of noise should definitely open a few eyes and generate more popularity and support when N Block is opened up again.
foss1884 Posted 11 February 2007 Posted 11 February 2007 The best bet for any supporter is if you really want to make an atmopshere then i suggest that you switch to Block N as soon as possible as i can guarantee you that demand will pick up more leading up to the game. Do not wait if you are able to otherwise you may miss out or be near the frnot rows-the upper part of the section is already sold! If this idea works, it will recieve so much publicity and will become an established and permanent part of the stadium next season. If anybody doubts what singing can be achieved with around 800 supporters, those at Ipswich will know how amazing the noise was! Just to let everybody know, my dad sat in the Ipswich director's box and according to him the club were talking about how noisy the Leicester fans were during the game-absolutely immense. Those same supporters are also coming across to Block N so i know it will be VERY NOISY! This is not the only game where this idea will be trialled, more are in the pipeline so this is not the only opportunity, but we do need it to be successful so that it can continue next season. For the supporter that has complained to the club about certain issues regarding the singing section, as i met the board i can assure you quite gleefully, your letter will be put in the best place for it-in the bin! Supporters like you are an absolute travesty and luckily the board are fans and WANT an atmosphere. Andy and Jamie will back me there! Your entire argument is flawed as the current Family Stand is adjacent to the away supporters and the language that they currently tolerate will be no different when Block N is used as a singing section. Atleast we will act as a buffer area for the Family Stand! L1 are also within earshot of the Family Stand too so i am starting to lose your point apart from that you are very jaded! Also, you seem to think idiotically that we are in the Family Stand-we are not!!! Gladly take your miserable views elsewhere and support the team either in Block N or in a silent part of the stadium! Come on Leicester-the atmosphere will be electric!
Fox63 Posted 11 February 2007 Posted 11 February 2007 If the South stand is quiet then that's how those who sit there want it to be! Don't be so naive. Comments like this don't help your cause. Foss1884 has made similar, negative comments in some of his postings. Generally, most of the postings have been very positive but too many are getting caught up in this unnecessary 'KOP' bashing. Those that remain in the Kop will want to see the N block make an improvement to the atmosphere at the Walkers but at the same time those that want to sing in the KOP will. Good luck for Saturday guys...I'll monitor the noise levels from F2!!
Nath Posted 11 February 2007 Posted 11 February 2007 i think there would be an even bigger deman to move, if there was more of an advertising by the club on the site, i looked everyday and the day it was on, thursday i believe, it was about the 4th news bulletin down, with not alot of information, maybe if its in the mercury and on the website with a bit more meaning, you will be looking at a big interest!
Basingstoke Fox Posted 11 February 2007 Posted 11 February 2007 It may be good if just half the kop went to N1 then the kop will have SOME noise aswell

Fox63 Posted 11 February 2007 Posted 11 February 2007 It may be good if just half the kop went to N1 then the kop will have SOME noise aswell Dispite the number of people going over I am sur that the Kop will retain some atmos and I'm sure there will be some singing. "We're the South Stand, we're the South Stand, we're the South Stand over here!"

foss1884 Posted 11 February 2007 Posted 11 February 2007 I am not trying to be derogatory about The Kop as i still have a season ticket there! I am incensed along with the club that we do not do its name any justice. What is the point of a Kop if there is no singing. If those that attend matches in The Kop do not want singing or to participate in singing, why elect to sit in The Kop in the first place? West Standers in disguise! For those supporters that feel being a Kopite is swigging a cup of tea then we have some real and very serious issues! I am glad i am part of the move forwards to actually bring an atmosphere back to our stadium on a regular basis and not just simply hope and wait that the problem will solve itself. I only wish the world operated like that as it would save me alot of hard work and bother! As a supporter of this club, if you want to make a difference you need to stand up to be counted. I am glad that in excess of 350 have answered the call. I predict that you will find that figure will double come Saturday. I will be eager to hear The Kop's response to our singing with L1 and i will be the first to say this-i hope The Kop are louder, but that would require non-singers mustering the energy to actually start singing. Prove me wrong!!! I want to see the whole stadium roaring Leicester on. That would be awesome.
Nath Posted 11 February 2007 Posted 11 February 2007 i would just like to say, we are in N1 to be heard, so therefore once 1 song finishes start another!! before the game...during the game..half time...and after the game, also i dont really wanna see any one leave before full time, even if we are losing 5-0! ...it could happen... but when we do leave after full time i wanna come out the stadium with a soar throat, and i want to lose my voice, and sorry, i want it to happen to all of us! because it shows the passion that we have for the club!
john_lcfc Posted 11 February 2007 Posted 11 February 2007 do you want us L1ers to stay in L1 or move to N1.. i dont know what to do
Master Fox Posted 11 February 2007 Posted 11 February 2007 Can you change your season ticket to N1 without any cost? I'm intrigued
Basingstoke Fox Posted 11 February 2007 Posted 11 February 2007 do you want us L1ers to stay in L1 or move to N1.. i dont know what to do stay in L1 thats the point have either side of away fans making lots of noise
Nath Posted 11 February 2007 Posted 11 February 2007 do you want us L1ers to stay in L1 or move to N1.. i dont know what to do STAY! then the atmosphere wud go into both ears of the cov$cum "faithful"..if they have any!
Maybes Posted 11 February 2007 Posted 11 February 2007 STAY! then the atmosphere wud go into both ears of the cov$cum "faithful"..if they have any! Yeah, there are some low lives around. . .somewhwere
Fox63 Posted 11 February 2007 Posted 11 February 2007 do you want us L1ers to stay in L1 or move to N1.. i dont know what to do I think the idea is for L1 to stay exactly where they are. N block is N block.....L1 is L1. Suround the away fans and sing your little hearts out!
foss1884 Posted 11 February 2007 Posted 11 February 2007 There is no additional cost to transfering To Block N. All you have to do is contact the Ticket Office or go in person to choose your new seat. You had better do it soon, before others pip you to the higher rows!
