Club to trial new singing section

Exactly, i respect them for that. Block N is being created to boost the atmosphere and assist L1 in generating some much-needed noise to drown out the away fans. Far too often, the away support makes noise that is unmatched by ourselves. Hopefully, we are now better equipped to give them a run for their money!

That's because the away team are normally in the lead and playing better football than the shower of shit in the blue shirts!!!

KEEP IT IN THE KOP! (SOUTH STAND)

Crap performance= crap atmosphere

ill move to block N. ill ring the club tomorrow but i cant get down before the cov game to switch my seat. im hoping they just let me in with my current ST booklet. ill sit (or stand) anywhere i can and sing all the songs.

is swearing frowned upon as in oh nottingham is full of shit?

I hope not.

I think we're trying to recreate an old atmosphere where you can say, sing or do whatever you want. (with in reason of course before people start suggesting anything :cool: )

but what if its just another load of "l1 wannabes" and teen lads who want to go in n1 and ends up being the same as l1?

aslong as when i go there vs cov i am not alone in singing a song like i sometimes am in the kop ill be happy.

is standing alowed or will people just stand anyway?

Well i'm guessing it'll go like one person starts a song, and instead of it being just you, the rest of the block will join in and it'll hopefully spread.

And standing will naturally happen, when people are singing, ive heard the club are going to be lenient on standing, so it should be ok.

KEEP IT IN THE KOP! (SOUTH STAND)

Keep what in the South Stand? I am a season ticket holder in the South Stand (i refuse to use the term Kop) as if i and only a handful of others are singing, that dose not constitute a Kop. I would love to not have to change anything, but how much longer do we have to go on with accepting poor atmospheres.

I remember even from the first season when the writing was on the wall, we played in front of 31,000 and it was our last home match of the promotion campaign and it was deathly quiet. When Norwich equalised their fans chanted "Your not singing anymore!" and then quickly realised that it had been them only singing and promptly sung "You were not singing anyway!"

This whole issue about the team playing well promotes a good atmosphere is nonsence. We have been winning games and the atmosphere has not livened up, which has even been commented on in the media. If you think of all the league matches, which we have won at home, can you honestly say that the atmosphere has been any better? I am sorry, i would love to believe in the fantasy of The Kop, but the unfortunate truth is i sit in this stand and have dones since day one and it is an absolute mockery.

Block N is the way forward and the club understand that. At the meeting they were shocked at how little we sing and do not understand why in relation to othert clubs. They even wanted answers from us and the solution we proposed in Block N is the club trying to salvage some reputation and allow fans who wish to sing the place to.

This has been answered a thousand times already. The club understands that singers by nature will stand more regularly than other supporters and accept this will be the case. All they ask is for us to use restraint and to sit down occasionally. Overall, they are just grateful that you are willing to sing!

This is precisely what we want to happen! A block full of singers that regardless of the score or the performance want to create a decent atmosphere. :scarf::clap::chant::yahoo:

we will thrash covscum anyway and drive there crap supporters away after 45 mins. not only will the "ultras" be in fine voice, the players should give the rest of stadia something to sing about.

Brilliant, Brilliant

I'll be re-locating my season ticket when I go and get my Ipswich Ticket on Saturday morning.

Cracking idea and well done to all the lads who have made it happen.

How do you relocate - and do I get to choose where abouts in n block I sit?

Just go to the ticket office with your season ticket, mention the singing section and say you would like a ticket towards the back of the block

I went to the Luton game.

Nothing to sing about, nothing to sing about.

You shouldn't need something to sing about. Englands barmy army is the best example of this.

I come away hoarse from every Leicester game so on the basis of what everyone has been saying, that is a good indication of us winning and playing great football. I think sometimes (which is a sad fact), the Leicester mentality is we will only sing when we are winning and if we have to.

Now, unless i am somewhat fanatical, i think supporters have a greater role to play when the team is playing poorly and not winning. It should not be the other way round! When you are losing, you need to give your team any advantage possible and supporters home and away can do this by supporting their team irrespective of what is happening on the pitch.

An excellent example is Sheffield Wednesday, regardless of the score or the performance they come out in their droves and sing fantastically. They are hardly an excellent football team, yet they have unbelieveable supporters. We, as Leicester fans, have a responsibility, one that many are shunning because they cannot be bothered.

If you pay a lot of money to see your side week in week out as i do for my sins, the least you can do is try and get your monies worth by singing your heart out and demanding a victory. How as supporters can we expect a winning mentality when we have a defeatist one as supporters who will not inspire our side to actually win? It is ludicrous!

I will be at Ipswich singing (or atleast trying to) and i will be in Block N with Andy and Jamie. I believe in this idea as it is attempting something positive rather than being content with absolute dross on and off the pitch as we are seemingly prepared to accept at the minute. Come on Blue Army, answer the call to join Block N!

From the Ultra website: "Andy Hunt: Re JR: Well if you come along to Block N it would be like an away fans block (the block for loyal supporters) and improve the atmosphere."

It's disappearing-up-the-arse, separatist & cliquey comments like this that will guarantee failure

(the block for loyal supporters)

do any of you loyal supporters remember buying a BUKKA kit from the 'hole in the wall' at filbert street circa 1980's? Loyaltie give me a break.

N1'ers ................Guaranteed to fail.... My letter of complaint has gone to LCFC to make sure people get ejected if they swear in the family stand by the way.

Real fans don't eat. They spend their time starving themselves in order that they can afford LCFC merchandise and lessons on how to be increasingly insular, separatist, anal and divisive.

I tried it once but I just can't resist the Jammy Dodgers mate. I'm weak.

Weak weak weak.

Quite possibly the funniest thing ive ever read on the foxestalk forum

here try a jammy dodger you'll like them....

Is this not a silly thing to say?

You are complaining about the age of some people who back this idea as if this matters! I did not purchase a Bukka kit (butka?) in 1980 as i was not alive until 1983 so that is hardly a point to critisise now is it!

I do however remember the ones in 1990,91,92,93,94,95,96,97,98,99,2000,01,02,03,04,05,06,and the one i wear proudly today!

Does your knowledge of kits show how dedicated you are? My old man may be able to show me his kit or programmes from the 1960's shall i get him on here to tell us how we should support the club as if your point had any value he would know best!

Correct! We will see on feb 17th won't we maybe there will be 10 of us with 1 flag, or 800 singing with lots of flags, who knows but people will be there supporting the idea, how many I do not know!

The board are obviously receptive to the idea no two ways about that!
