Mad Dog Posted 9 February 2007 Posted 9 February 2007 This is a great idea but I don't think it'll work in real terms. A small article on the website, which was never at the top of the page, probably read by a handful of people, and a small internet forum here, will a) not reach the attention of enough people, and b) even the people who do read about it aren't in the most part going to be the type of people who we need in this section to create any kind of real atmosphere. I'll be there though and I'm an absolute banter hound, so am worth 100 fans on my own
Fox63 Posted 9 February 2007 Posted 9 February 2007 Glad to see the club are staying true to their word and actually marketing the idea for us in order to help us have a successful trial period. Hopefully this'll make the people outside of FoxesTalk aware of what is going on and bring them into N block for the game. I'm a little concerned now though about this trial going pear-shaped. The club used my bloody name on something I didn't even say so it'll be all fingers pointed at me if this isn't a success now!! This is just one of the problems when dealing with organisations like LCFC. The success or failure will not be judged on one game and not one person or individual. As many of you have already stated Ultra groups take many years to become established. Don't start having doubts now. Keep the momentum going and spread the idea through other forums and media. Do not rely on help from the club to spread the message. (See you at Portman Road)

When the other 19 thousand fans see the N block with all that emthusiasum the ones who want to sing will be over in the 2nd half or the next game
davieG Posted 9 February 2007 Posted 9 February 2007 This stop / start approach wont help you either, a one game trial is a nonsense, you are relying heavily on word of mouth for success but you wont know at the Cov game what is to follow. You need to be able to say N block is where it's at for the forseeable future, not next week, not next month, not next season but now. You need people to change their ST to N block not just for one game and then perhaps some others to follow but for the rest of the season. I think you guys have done great but have been seriously let down by a mealy mouthed, pussy footed club. As nice as you think they have been you need to push this even harder, for a start you should contact the Mercury and Radio Leicester and make sure you talk about it in terms of N Block every week not just about the Coventry game. Anyway the best of luck.

When the other 19 thousand fans see the N block with all that emthusiasum the ones who want to sing will be over in the 2nd half or the next game That's the spirit...but don't expect too much too soon. Let it grow..let it develope. But don't get dis-heartened if you don't get the immediate success you think it deserves.
Sods Posted 9 February 2007 Posted 9 February 2007 Surely we need the Mercury on board? i agree, surely their would help as they have had a go at the atmosphere in the kop south stand
Kilworthfox Posted 9 February 2007 Posted 9 February 2007 Surely we need the Mercury on board? I will give you 25 million reasons why we dont

Floating Fox Posted 9 February 2007 Posted 9 February 2007 Just to add something to what FIAB said. Block N isn't part of the family stand. So we can swear if we want to, your complaint will mean nothing - People already swear in there anyway!!! You still haven't answered my question of why you are so agianst the idea and why you wont move from your seat? Also, back few rows have sold out so get you tickets soon to ensure your near the back!

SystonFox Posted 11 February 2007 Posted 11 February 2007 i rang the ticket office on friday and asked if i could change my ST to N block for the cov game, she just said come in on matchday and do it but im sure i read that this wouldnt be allowed? i think ill just present my ST at N Blocks turnstiles and hope to get in then sit in any old seat as close to the back as possible. how many cov fans are expected at the game?

I shouldn't think many considering their position and there home support is poor too. They wont be selling many as the club has given us the N block so they wont be coming to far round.

It did say on the article on lcfc.com not to do so on matchday, haven't a clue why I guess they will let you in anyway if you show them your ST like you say. Will enquire how many tickets have been sold when we go the the meeting next week
Floating Fox Posted 11 February 2007 Posted 11 February 2007 Breaking News 350 tickets have been sold in Block N already (as of Saturday Morning)
Basingstoke Fox Posted 11 February 2007 Posted 11 February 2007 Breaking News 350 tickets have been sold in Block N already Once im sure im allowed to go i will try and get a ticket in block N
Glen_lcfc Posted 11 February 2007 Posted 11 February 2007 This is excellent 350 already and still a week to go. I have to say the Right Side/Left side chant was brilliant at Portman Road yesterday. Although I was down on row F I still managed to convert a few kids into chanting along keeping the lower section singers alive!! Seriously though the top of the tier sounded like the place to be - you lads were fantastic - other than Fulham away - 90 minutes of non-stop singing has been uncommon this season. Can you change your season ticket other the phone or by email- or do you have to physically go down to the ticket office by Friday?
lildave3 Posted 11 February 2007 Posted 11 February 2007 Breaking News 350 tickets have been sold in Block N already (as of Saturday Morning) Does that include all the season ticket holders that will be moving?
