Is anyone else, apart from Ultra, pissed off with the takeover?

The fact is that, whether willingly or under duress, the overwhelming majority of shareholders HAVE sold out to Mandy and we will all have to live with the consequences.

You can't deny the factual basis of Ultra's position - a sale HAS taken place and there WILL be consequences...it just seems as though he reckons they will be bad ones.

Personally, I am amazed that anyone at all, well any City fan, could be narked about this takeover.

Out of pure interest - are you one of them? Do you have strong reservations? What are they.

If I have any concerns at all then it is regarding (what I believe to be) the almost inevitable hike in ticket pricing next season ~ what will waylay that for me will be strong investment in the team, the appointment of a competent manager and attractive, attacking football.

Certainly, from an increasingly growing position of considering not to renew my ST I will now definitely renew next season.

I have to say I am over the moon... we have money, we have a chance to get talent and a person who is 100% committed to seeing we succeed, you can't ask for much more than that.

I won't be getting season tickets though, I would if I lived in London, but I live in Sydney Australia... if the Foxes decided to play an exhibition match here though, I'd be the first one at the ticket line for a ticket.... ;)

Im over the moon to because it wasn't so long ago when we was finding it hard to sign danny cadamateri and pay his wages for the rest of the season. But now with money we can hopefully buy players that are good enough to play championship football and beyond. But i don't think it will be easy for us because their are plenty of teams who are in the same league who have a bit of money as well. Anyway this is exiciting times for the future of leicester city football club.

Up the blues

:D Absolutely no surprise there then - as I was thinking of you selecting them while writing it lol

Well it’s great that you can associate me with fish. I love fish, I like how they smell

You cant but be over the moon IMO because the club was going nowhere fast. If the question was whether I preferred a real Leicester fan worth billions to take over instead of MM, the answer would be yes. Unfortunatey, despite having a few wealthy celebs and fans around who dipped in last time we were in trouble, there isnt any fairy story out there for us with a "real" Leicester fan.

Step up Milan Mandaric. He is the bloke who spotted an opportunity with our club and for the first time in a few years, can actually look forward to next season and having the possibiity of actually having some "hero`s" for the supporters on the pitch. We have a plan in place of promotion in 3 years, MM is looking at our weak scouting system, we may get a reserve team back which will help our younger players no end because we dont want to be losing these kids without having a proper look at them, we can now look towards bringing decent players in and let the cack go and the fans are smiling again. What more could a football fan ask for but hope?

Only the naive will think that MM doesnt come with potential hazards. Yes he has owned clubs all over the world and not many can be described as huge successes. Yes MM is coming here to make money but he will only achieve that if he gets us promoted. He wont come here to do a Luton (sell our best players and expect miracles) but he has come here to buy the odd £500-750k player and throw big wages at capable experienced players at this level to get us up. He`ll be able to offset the wages by knowing that the club is run properly behind the scenes and he may well do what he did at pompey and raise the matchday ticket price a few pounds to generate extra cash.

However its analysed, its pointless in looking for the negative IMO. Lets not worry about stuff until we need to. For now, lets look forward to the new players and better football and results and lets back MM to the hilt.

I've never liked the idea of Leicester having a 'sugar-daddy' (it can be argued whether that term applies to MM) and I would've preferred if LCFC stayed a PLC, but in our current situation, I'm thankful that someone who's got money and is willing to "invest" in the club has come in.

To put it quite bluntly, I fear that we would have sunk without trace had MM not come in. Obviously I'm making premature assumptions about Leicester staying up and even progressing, but I could not see a bright future for the club pre-MM.

So I'm over the moon with the takeover, but unless someone's willing to sponsor my transport fares from Copenhagen, I won't buy a ST :P

What did you do to get sent down for life?

Well if he's a 16 year old from basingstoke, he probably doesn't want to be travelling to games by himself?

I've had misgivings about this deal all along, one of which - that MM has bought the club for a snip - has proved well founded, and I have longer term concerns too.

But what's done is done.

Anything that can make Ric Flair sound as chirpy as he has become since the papers were signed can't be all bad and we certainly needed new impetus which I'm 100% sure MM will bring.

I don't like rent a team but there's a lot of things about modern life you have to live with and if it means we'll be playing our matches at the right end of the table I've suffered enough these last few years so I'm damned if I'll deny myself the chance of enjoying some good times.

It was going to be hard investing in another season ticket on the back of the fare we've been served by Kelly although, don't get me wrong, there've been plenty of city managers with a worse record. Perhaps with better players he'll give us something to watch but it won't matter too much.

Another thing you know about MM. If he things something's wrong he won't delay in changing it. It's a message I hope Kelly understands cos I get the feeling MM likes winning and being entertained, probably in that order, and I am sure he'll want the sort of football that puts bums on seats.

I don't get that bit Thracian ~ are you refering to the people that will be filling the empty seats on Saturday?

Do you really mean you'd prefer the ground half empty with dedicated, bored and quiet fans?

I'm not spending hundreds of pounds for a season ticket I couldn't possible use.

But just think of the value a pristine one would have on Ebay in thirty years time :D

Thanks for pointing that out Dagenham. I meant rent-a-team, of course, and have now corrected the text. Three days of something flu-ey have left me less than sharp to be honest.

Tell me about it...I'm just having my first tipple in a week to dry run Saturdays drinks. Awful awful bug this one :(

Poor old Ultra just needs to cheer up a little - it's not the end of the world if you can't do up yer flies.
