Scow Posted 19 January 2005 Posted 19 January 2005 4-4-2 Taylor Maybury - Dabizas - Keown - Stewart Gillespie - Gudjonsson - Williams - Scowcroft De Vries - Connolly ---------------------------------------------------- Not the team I would like, but I imagine it's close to what Levein will field. He does prefer 4-4-2, and with Gillespie now available, he'll stick with it I reckon. The midfield looks fine apart from Scowcroft on the left. If Tiatto was available, then that would have been a strong midfield 4.
Cobbo Posted 19 January 2005 Posted 19 January 2005 Yip, that'll be the team I expect, unless de Vries is not fit. Although I would think Dion would be in for Dabizas if he is ok.
Mark Posted 19 January 2005 Posted 19 January 2005 Bit better i suppose. Such an unstable team of players though. Scowcroft left wing is disgusting. Gillespie has never impressed me. I worry about De Vries fitness problems, Wrights never going to get a go whether fit or not so he's the only choice really, if Dublin's out *fingers crossed*
Steven Posted 19 January 2005 Posted 19 January 2005 Whatever the side we need them to be strong as I think this could be the key game of the season. <_<

Nationwider Posted 20 January 2005 Posted 20 January 2005 It's looks like Tiatto will be back against Gillingham before his next suspension. I think CL should go for Gillespie, Williams, Joey, Tiatto across the middle - probably our best midfield as LN seemes to have dipped in form. Nalis, Dublin and MDV will warm the bench. By Saturday night we'll be back in the play-off hunt, or in a relegation battle. Never a dull moment!

Steven Posted 20 January 2005 Posted 20 January 2005 If you are thinking of a side, here is some latest team news. But the Foxes chief looks set to name Mark de Vries, Keith Gillespie, Danny Tiatto and Lee Morris in his squad on Saturday as Leicester look to overcome struggling Gillingham at the Walkers Stadium. He (CL) said: "We will have more of our attacking options available for the game against Gillingham this weekend. Mark de Vries has recovered from a groin injury and can play, while Danny Tiatto is back from a fractured cheekbone and has also served a suspension after accumulating 10 bookings. "It was good to see Keith Gillespie comeback against Blackpool on Tuesday night after a period out through suspension, and Lee Morris was back on the training pitches on Thursday after a thigh injury. "So it is good to have those four players back in action and hopefully they will help us to put more goals in the for column." It wasn't all good news for Levein though, who is waiting on the fitness of two other players ahead of the clash. He added: "Dion Dublin and James Scowcroft didn't train on Thursday although it is very much a case of wait and see with them at the moment."
Mark Posted 20 January 2005 Posted 20 January 2005 What's everyones reason for picking Scowcroft up front? Very interesting, as if you haven't been convinced enough... He added: "Dion Dublin and James Scowcroft didn't train on Thursday although it is very much a case of wait and see with them at the moment." A dream come true!
