Joe. Posted 28 February 2007 Posted 28 February 2007 Jamie you've got the rent boys for your sexual needs, don't worry
lcfc_jme Posted 28 February 2007 Posted 28 February 2007 No nonsensical off-topic posting anymore lads. It needs to stop. Seriously. We're too young to do it. Lets just welcome Fez back to the forum and grow up a bit yeah?!?
lookwhaticando Posted 28 February 2007 Posted 28 February 2007 It's amazing how gay some topics can become. Anyways... To stop all the crap from some spamzoids, why don't you just do what some other forums do and get new members to verify their email address before they post? Is that possible on this system? The spambots that hit FoxesTalk are probably similar to the ones at another forum I use - trust me, they can and will verify their email address if you require them to. It stops the amateurish ones, but the more mainstream spambots will still gain access. The true solution would be for a visual verification - type what you see in this picture, etc - as you've doubtless seen elsewhere. That's a hell of a lot more effective. Another possibility is to get the new user to answer a question, in my experience that's rather effective too... but the visual verification is a much more common and readily available solution.
Scow Posted 28 February 2007 Posted 28 February 2007 i will always read a post by scoweh. it's a shame he's not on here much these days. freund was funny, but just got very samey and i heard here was racist towards anish which is never good. but there's still some good eggs about, thracian (whatever you might think of his point of view ), dagenham dave, man-pab ©, LWICD, babylon, you, swissfox, hullcox, scoweh, ricflair, louise, davieG, nationwider, deathside, lisa, knightonmatt (when he can be bothered) etc the last point could just mean they found other things to do, or they got bored with FT, rather that FT became boring. anywho, even though i don't post much from time to time, you won't get rid of me Cheers Stezzoh. I used to be a post whore back in the embryonic stages of Foxestalk, Ah, those were the days. Being a student helped as I had plenty of spare time. With working full time, I've gradually posted less and less. But as well as that, there seems to be more dross than quality on here at present, and that's been a progressive thing over time. I think it's great that we have a diverse range of posters, however, I think there are far too many young un's which affects the general quality of what is posted on here. Now this is not saying the younger posters don't offer anything worthwhile on the forum - far from it - it's just that inevitably there is plenty of shite posted, a lot of it down to a lack of maturity and intelligence.

I agree with much of that. Obviously it's not fair to say that a group of posters are representative of "young un's", or that 'older' members aren't guilty of bringing the standard down, but it's shocking how low the intellectual or maturity level is at times.
Knighton Matt Posted 3 March 2007 Posted 3 March 2007 I reckon it all went downhill when Knighton Matt left. He was a bit of a tart, but a funny one at that.

Or is it because you and others have got older? There's always been a fair amount of dross, maybe with more members it seems worse. I remember considering going elsewhere in the early days when there where quite a few very poor and immature posts/posters.
Wils Posted 3 March 2007 Posted 3 March 2007 I reckon it all went downhill when Knighton Matt left. He was a bit of a tart, but a funny one at that. I agree, the Chebs thread has developed immensly since you were a regular in there though.
