lildave3 Posted 6 March 2007 Posted 6 March 2007 Is was up the top, yeah. If you had the one about a French word linked with an American state, or something along those lines, definately Including an answer - Montana Wasn't it Vermont? Vert is french for green, and Montagne is mountain. So i thought it was Vermont.
lildave3 Posted 6 March 2007 Posted 6 March 2007 Can you remember the question What place in America translates as Green Mountain in French.
Thracian Posted 6 March 2007 Posted 6 March 2007 What place in America translates as Green Mountain in French. If it isn't Vermont we're all struggling.
Brainy Posted 6 March 2007 Posted 6 March 2007 Well it's strange as vert = green And I thought Montana (something along those lines) was mountain.. But with vermont, I can see where your coming from
samingram_uk Posted 6 March 2007 Posted 6 March 2007 asked some ppl a few ( hence why i took 378 seconds )
Foxed Posted 6 March 2007 Posted 6 March 2007 hairy mate, there is a way of fixing it so we all get the same questions (and you can also narrow the bredth of questions down so we don't get so much random Americanadian nonsense). Have a looky looky to see if you can change the quiz so we all get the same
Alexikokopops Posted 6 March 2007 Posted 6 March 2007 Well it's strange as vert = green And I thought Montana (something along those lines) was mountain.. But with vermont, I can see where your coming from Yes, the tallest mountain in Western Europe is called Montana Blanc. Not Mont Blanc at all.
hairy Posted 6 March 2007 Author Posted 6 March 2007 hairy mate, there is a way of fixing it so we all get the same questions (and you can also narrow the bredth of questions down so we don't get so much random Americanadian nonsense). Have a looky looky to see if you can change the quiz so we all get the same Yes you were right! I have selected English Trivia intermediate to hard and we all now get the same questions. Hope that suits most of you. Sorry to the Aussies and Yanks on the forum. No cheating you lot. Its just ment to be a bit of fun. If you start getting 10/10 day in day out I could ban you Lets put today down to practise shall we. Lets double our efforts tomorrow on the training ground etc etc etc the take over put me off etc etc etc nobody wants to come on loan etc etc etc. You all know the excuses already I'm sure.
Rincewind Posted 7 March 2007 Posted 7 March 2007 If we had different questions I can mention the two I got wrong. One was who washed the feet at the last supper and the other was song lyrics something about the wine you have is fine wine there was a blank to fill in the missing words. Might have been the Jerimia was a bullfrog one. Anyway is it all starting again? I can get the answers but it just takes longer. My cursor has a mind of its own sometimes and wont keep still so I can click. Valuable seconds wasted.
jaffa1970 Posted 7 March 2007 Posted 7 March 2007 Pretty happy with 5/10 for the hard english trivia So i expect to see an entirely aussie based quiz tomorrow then? Will be interesting to see what people know about their homeland. Would be embarrassing if an aussie knew more...
Alexikokopops Posted 7 March 2007 Posted 7 March 2007 Bloody hell that was difficult! Too right!! 2/10, boooooo!! Lovely questions, like: Edited because I didn't realise everyone would have the same questions again, whoops
hairy Posted 7 March 2007 Author Posted 7 March 2007 Thank you Alex Please dont post the questions we are now all having the same questions each day. Ta
Alexikokopops Posted 7 March 2007 Posted 7 March 2007 Whoops!! Thought everyone had different questions again. What a clown.
Phube Posted 7 March 2007 Posted 7 March 2007 Isn't there a continual leaderboard, or does it only do today's rank??
Alexikokopops Posted 7 March 2007 Posted 7 March 2007 Isn't there a continual leaderboard, or does it only do today's rank?? Click on Standings. It updates them at the end of each day. It's not done on how many you got right because it also depends on time, so there's a points system.
Rincewind Posted 7 March 2007 Posted 7 March 2007 Thought they were a little harder. English history not my best subject.
Milky Posted 7 March 2007 Posted 7 March 2007 we couldn't have got the same questions, cus if we all had mine nobody would get less than 7.
Manwell Pablo Posted 7 March 2007 Posted 7 March 2007 we couldn't have got the same questions, cus if we all had mine nobody would get less than 7. Did you have the question about Oliver Cromwell or Queen Victorias siblings?
