craigadams22 Posted 12 March 2007 Posted 12 March 2007 Hello there folks, Are any of you into the Science Fiction cult series Doctor Who? I am a Big Big fan of the Old Series which ran from 1963 to 1989, my favourite Doctor Who actor had to be Jon Pertwee (The 3rd Doctor), following him Tom Baker (4th Doctor). From the revived 2005 Doctor Who series - David Tennant has to be my choice so far, he's much better than Christopher Ecceston. My favourite Doctor Who companion's of all time are: Jo Grant, Rose, Sarah Jane Smith, Jamie, Harry.. I am looking for Full Life Size Dalek's and any Doctor Who costumes or Prop's, I am hoping to do Doctor Who for this year's or next year's Hinckley Carnival. I'd be grateful if anyone could have me out! Many Thanks Craig Adams 22

Daggers Posted 12 March 2007 Posted 12 March 2007 I won a fancy dress competition, dressed as a Tardis, when I was 10. Fact. Take one blue toilet tent, stick one sheet of A4 on the front with the word "Tardis" written in marker pen, then add a light/torch to the top with masking tape...and boomshanka ~ you have yourself a winning carnival entry.
Rincewind Posted 12 March 2007 Posted 12 March 2007 At the GBBF there is usually a Dalek model in the staffing office or the staff bar. Why? I don't know. I should find a Dr Who messageboard with like-minded people and see if anyone will part with their treasures.
Zingari Posted 12 March 2007 Posted 12 March 2007 i only found out the other day torchwood was an anagram of doctor who ; but i never watch either as british tv sci fi always seems bad; primeval is awful nonsense
Rincewind Posted 13 March 2007 Posted 13 March 2007 didn't realise that. Torchwood is a spin-off from Doctor Who though. I'm not so keen on the newer Dr. Whos. Might be my age but it seems to have lost something whe it's concentrated on Earth. And he can control the tardis now. As I remember it his steering mechanism was knackered and he could end up anywhere which was part of the fasination of it.
Webbo Posted 13 March 2007 Posted 13 March 2007 i only found out the other day torchwood was an anagram of doctor who ; but i never watch either as british tv sci fi always seems bad; primeval is awful nonsense I wouldn't bother, it's like Dr Who except the 'cybermen' get bummed at the end.
Louise Posted 15 March 2007 Posted 15 March 2007 David Tennant better than Christopher Eccleston?!?!? No way! Good choice of old time Doctors though.
JadeFalcon Posted 16 March 2007 Posted 16 March 2007 i love both the new doctor who and torchwood new Dr who series starts end of this month ... there should be a teaser trailer on tv this saturday keep an eye out for it
