Chest pains

Recommended Posts

Ive recently been having chest pains in the centre of my chest, slightly to the left. They are sharp and happen when i breathe in / out deeply. Theyre not constant but come and go. I have had these pains most of my life, but normally only like once in a month or a few months and not notablly frequent.

I have now had these pains for around 2 weeks and i have a spell of them every day. They occur when i breathe in / out like i said, or when i bend down or move the top half of my body, but not constant.

I daren't go get it checked out as if its something wrong with me ticker, id be too scared for any kind of surgery on it :cry: Im getting quite worried though and i wondered if anyone else on here has had anything like this?

Im hoping its just a pulled muscle... but my cousin has a dodgy heart, a hole in it to be precise, not sure what the medical term is.. this leads me to believe i may have a problem :unsure:

Ive talked to my brother about thios before and he says he has it time to time so hopefully its common..

Any help appreciated please :thumbup::cry:

I get them, I think they're blood clots. Could be wrong. Nothing to worry about as long as they aren't happening to often.

I like being blunt and straight to the point so....

If your worried about them get them checked out, because if their is something wrong with your heart and you don't have the nessacery surgery....well you'll die. Which is alot more unpleasent than surgery (apparently)

Are you sure it's not indigestion? Seriously?

If not, then go and see the doctor.

I have asthma, and that can manifest itself as chest pains. When you get them, you can't breathe in, and if you try to stretch, it's agony. If you get that, it's treatable, and would put your mind at rest.

I know plenty who are absloutley shocking at everything appart from being a docter, spelling included.

i wasn't talking about spelling in general, i'm just saying a real doctor can spell doctor.

on that basis i don't beleive him.

****s sake I give up, I can't spell.

Hey hey filters have gone.

don't you not know, they've changed the spelling of docter? :D

so why has Wils edited his post back to the "Old" spelling

I dunno, I'm too tired for this shit I'm going to bed. Can't form a sentance, I'm even worse than I normally am.

<chest pain wibble>

Are you seriously trusting your health to the unqualified opinions of an internet forum?

You need hitting with a sprig of broccoli.

Even a simple indigestion can give you similar pains.

Or an infection perhaps?

Talk to your doctor...

Can you leav eme your DVDs if anything happens mate as I am building a collection! :thumbup::D

On a serious note, I am not one to get to the doctors unless something is hanging off (thats another story) but when it comes to internal pains around the chest/heart area, you would be a madman not to get it seen too sooner rather than later. I hope all is well fella....

Nothing to worry about mate.

Bob Woolmer said exactly the same thing to me just a week ago.
