Cal Posted 11 April 2007 Posted 11 April 2007 Its only til the end of the season, Then its Coleman time
Bluefoxtim Posted 11 April 2007 Posted 11 April 2007 ****s sake Worst move I could have imagined. Nigel Worthington - DOUR, BORING, CONVENTIONAL. Strict 4-4-2 man with nothing exicting. All the things that Kelly has and all the things that I thought would go. Can't see things being different. Was hoping for a man with a bit of passion and flair.
Simon Posted 11 April 2007 Posted 11 April 2007 Can't help but wonder if MM had held off 24 hours whether he'd have offered it to Coleman... Anyway, what's done is done. He wouldn't have been my first choice, but its only for five games. We NEED to get behind him now, and help him and the players ensure our Championship future. And btw- what the fook were our players doing with another DAY OFF?!!!!
Leicester Lass Posted 11 April 2007 Posted 11 April 2007 At least it means Milan can work from now until the end of the season on finding a long term replacement, instead of making a panic decision.
Flexx Posted 11 April 2007 Posted 11 April 2007 I emailed Tim Davies yesterday at 13:42 telling him none of us want Kelly in charge anymore and a day later he's gone.
Milky Posted 11 April 2007 Posted 11 April 2007 He won't know anything about the players, is that good or bad
Chimp Posted 11 April 2007 Posted 11 April 2007 Its only til the end of the season, Then its Coleman time Please God, let this be true... I simply cannot stomach the idea of our club being managed by Worthington for any longer than is absolutely necessary.
Nath Posted 11 April 2007 Posted 11 April 2007 I was quite impressed with what Worthington had to say, and i have complete faith in him Nigel Worthington's Blue & White Army <<That is a mouth full!
Leicester Lass Posted 11 April 2007 Posted 11 April 2007 He won't know anything about the players, is that good or bad He'll soon learn that they're shit.
Tubes Posted 11 April 2007 Posted 11 April 2007 mandaric must have said if you do well before the end of the season the job is yours
Leicester Lass Posted 11 April 2007 Posted 11 April 2007 mandaric must have said if you do well before the end of the season the job is yours We've made that mistake before - someone keeps us up and is then given the job.
Cal Posted 11 April 2007 Posted 11 April 2007 If we get Worthington permanant.. I can see next season being just as bad as this one.
BMR Posted 11 April 2007 Posted 11 April 2007 Well he has a good record in the Championship so I can see where Milan is coming from.
City_4_Life Posted 11 April 2007 Posted 11 April 2007 mandaric must have said if you do well before the end of the season the job is yours I was thinking that because i cant see him taking the position if he knew it was definatley only till the end of the season. So lets say he does well in the last 5 games, Would anyone be happy for Mandaric to give him the job full time?
Bluefoxtim Posted 11 April 2007 Posted 11 April 2007 Look, we all know we will start playing well again and he will be given the job He will then buy some crap has-beens next season and we will be in the usual crap again A great opportunity to bring someone decent in... and we get Worthington
Nath Posted 11 April 2007 Posted 11 April 2007 We were all calling for Kelly's head, Mandaric as done that and has brought in an experienced manager at this level, a manager that got Norwich promoted to the premiership not so long ago, and you still moam...what's with all the negativity?
escape2victory Posted 11 April 2007 Posted 11 April 2007 Or maybe he asked Coleman about it, but he wants to wait until the summer to see what division we are in and to give him time to re-charge his batteries. So Wortho is just filling the gap at the moment. Wishful thinking i know !!
Foxes 2 da grave Posted 11 April 2007 Posted 11 April 2007 I reckon he will do well in the remaining games but if he does keep the job will he spend wisely. He did ok with norwich but it took him years to build the team he took to the prem. I hope we stay up but I dont think in the long run he will be the right man for the job. But i guess he's not the position permenant yet and he's definantly no Harry Redknapp. We need a manager of his calibre.
Loake Posted 11 April 2007 Posted 11 April 2007 I was thinking that because i cant see him taking the position if he knew it was definatley only till the end of the season. So lets say he does well in the last 5 games, Would anyone be happy for Mandaric to give him the job full time? yes, give him a chance.
Simi Posted 11 April 2007 Posted 11 April 2007 mandaric must have said if you do well before the end of the season the job is yours Why do we carry on doing this. Better options at the end of the season potentially.
