Help regarding moving to UK

Hello guys,

I'm writing on this forum to hear if anyone can help me out..

I'm a Danish supporter of English football and have travelled over many many times (this season 7 times incl LCFC-Derby in the easter time)

I got back to Denmark, being absolute fed up with my work where I've been for almost 11 years, my girlfriend and I have decided to take some time of each other to try and see if that works and me, having dreamt of living in UK to see as many matches as possible, it's like now or never, so here goes..

I'm thinking of travelling over for the start of the new season, will stay for 3-4 months, and will hear if anyone from the forum knows someone who rent out flats or have a spare room, as I wouldn't be working when I'm over it has to be relative cheap and close to public transport, Midlands or London would be great but prices in London is crazy so I go for Midlands..

Anyone who might be able to help me outlive my dream please pm me ..

Thanks in advance

My lads moving to Norway partly because of a Norwegian girlfriend but mostly because he's had enough of England.

Makes no difference to us whether you're in England or not, you'd still be on here!

Alright, lads..which area around Leicester would I prefer ?

Beaumont Leys, Braunstone - all quality places offering top of the range accommodation.

Don't bother we are full.... no room at the inn. ;)

PMSL

I know someone who can get you here in a council flat if you just do one little thing and get married. He`ll also throw in £200 if you leave him all your personal details like passport and birth certificate. You must also be credit worthy lol.

if you plan to move to leicester - i would stay out of the city - the county can be very nice, best thing to do is to visit and see what you think, leicester is very hit and miss...

and be warned, don't listen to everything you hear - see for yourself: ie - re the comedy suggestion highfields (not nice) even there you can find some nice places...

i agree, leicestershire is preferable to leicester, or any of the other towns. there's a few larger villages, which aren't far from the main A6, such as thrussington, rearsby, syston, queniborough, and barrow upon soar and smaller villages like barsby, south croxston, ashby folville. i hated living in central leicester (except new humberstone, which was quite nice)

Judging by some of the comments I hope there's someone in when you arrive! :D

Someone said Hullfox had a flat he wondered if I might like - so you could try him!. Mind you the flat was on the Dogger Bank! :D :D

THanks for your advice so far lads, please keep them coming, I'm fully aware of posts not to serious, as I wouldn't be travelling before the the start of the new season got to plenty of time but will of course be nice if everything were sorted due to my arrivel..

Really don't care if it's close to Leicester,Derby,Nottingham as long I'm fairly close to public transport and there's a room with kitchen and toilet (could be shared)

Hope anyone can help out, does anyone have a link to local newspaper I might write to..

The Leicester Mercury

Ignore Anderson's LCFC match reports and player ratings they are pure fiction.
