DanishGroundhopper Posted 14 April 2007 Posted 14 April 2007 Hello guys, I'm writing on this forum to hear if anyone can help me out.. I'm a Danish supporter of English football and have travelled over many many times (this season 7 times incl LCFC-Derby in the easter time) I got back to Denmark, being absolute fed up with my work where I've been for almost 11 years, my girlfriend and I have decided to take some time of each other to try and see if that works and me, having dreamt of living in UK to see as many matches as possible, it's like now or never, so here goes.. I'm thinking of travelling over for the start of the new season, will stay for 3-4 months, and will hear if anyone from the forum knows someone who rent out flats or have a spare room, as I wouldn't be working when I'm over it has to be relative cheap and close to public transport, Midlands or London would be great but prices in London is crazy so I go for Midlands.. Anyone who might be able to help me outlive my dream please pm me .. Thanks in advance Brian in Denmark
Guest Posted 14 April 2007 Posted 14 April 2007 Something like this (first up on Google) might be of use re accommodation. To be honest, why anyone would want to come and live here is beyond me. If it wasn't for the sport, I'd leave.

Leonisco Posted 14 April 2007 Posted 14 April 2007 Alright, lads..which area around Leicester would I prefer ? I hear Highfields is nice this time of year.
Trumpet Posted 14 April 2007 Posted 14 April 2007 Alright, lads..which area around Leicester would I prefer ? Beaumont Leys, Braunstone - all quality places offering top of the range accommodation.
Geo V Posted 14 April 2007 Posted 14 April 2007 Don't bother we are full.... no room at the inn. PMSL I know someone who can get you here in a council flat if you just do one little thing and get married. He`ll also throw in £200 if you leave him all your personal details like passport and birth certificate. You must also be credit worthy .
Lillehamring Posted 14 April 2007 Posted 14 April 2007 if you plan to move to leicester - i would stay out of the city - the county can be very nice, best thing to do is to visit and see what you think, leicester is very hit and miss... and be warned, don't listen to everything you hear - see for yourself: ie - re the comedy suggestion highfields (not nice) even there you can find some nice places...

Someone said Hullfox had a flat he wondered if I might like - so you could try him!. Mind you the flat was on the Dogger Bank! :D
