James. Posted 15 April 2007 Posted 15 April 2007 Dunno about up in Leicester but it is an absolutely beautiful day in the capital today. So for any of you locked up in your bedrooms reading this forum - GET OUTSIDE! Laptop + Wireless = Garden Action. However whoever said drinking tea cools you down, BOLLOCKS. I had a couple with my fry-up and I was sweating like Thracian at an Academy post-match bath. And yes pulling off that joke was the main reason for posting this topic...

Daggers Posted 15 April 2007 Posted 15 April 2007 I had a couple with my fry-up and I was sweating like Thracian at an Academy post-match bath. With the tuck and pike and the end of that dive, James the Blue looks over at the judges...and it's a 10, a 10, a 10...My God! A perfect score from the judges. An outstanding piece of posting on behalf of the young Leicester fan - if this doesn't add to the clamour to have him posting for his country now, then nothing will.

Breathtaking. Good work JTB. At least the element of sarcasm is a decreasing function of each of these posts...

Yeah it was a great day in London yesterday and today has started well too. In my bid to make sure that the good weather continues I have taken loads of sprays and sprayed them into the sky hoping to mess things up even further. Pledge, Oust, Mr Muscle and Raid have all been emptied. Next year should now be a scorcher!

Jon the Hat Posted 16 April 2007 Posted 16 April 2007 Tea dehydrates you Actually it doesn't. It makes you need the toilet more quickly as it is a diuretic, but then you go less later on as your body is quite capable of regulating it's fluid levels. You would be far better off drinking tea than nothing at all. When you think about the logic that tea (coffee, alchohol or whatever) dehyrdates you that would in theory mean that if you wer dying of thirst you would be better off not drinking any of these. Which is clearly not the case. Another old wives tale! The only thing you really shouldn't drink under any circumstances is salt water.
