City Fan Posted 21 April 2007 Posted 21 April 2007 Leicester City win 1-0, effectively guaranteeing survival. Hinckley United win 2-0, effectively guaranteeing a playoff place. Leicester Tigers win 33-17, effectively guaranteeing a third Heineken Cup. Stuart Broad hits the final runs in the England cricket win. :worship:
Joe. Posted 21 April 2007 Posted 21 April 2007 Yes it's certainly been an eventful and brilliant day Let's hope for more of the same soon....

Simi Posted 22 April 2007 Posted 22 April 2007 What a day, it was nearly perfect. Is this because Man U didn't lose ?
Finnegan Posted 22 April 2007 Posted 22 April 2007 Credit where it's due, Tigers were defensively awesome yesterday. Very good game of rugby, great atmosphere. I was one of pretty much only two Scarlets fans in the entire family enclosure, haha. Atmosphere like a football game though, really great, English rugby fans surprised me for once! As for almost guaranteeing the cup though, haha. Flattering that you consider Scarlets the last big obstacle - and I really hope you do win it now - but don't ever write off Wasps. Those bastards almost seem to get something.
Brainy Posted 22 April 2007 Posted 22 April 2007 I couldn't give a toss about Hinckley or the Tigers but Englands win was brilliant.

Geo V Posted 22 April 2007 Posted 22 April 2007 Yeah it was a great day yesterday and how weird is it that these things all happen at the same time FFS? I wish they would spread the joyous results about a bit .
Finnegan Posted 22 April 2007 Posted 22 April 2007 :oWasps?! Saints might do the wabbies today, but if they do, then title's Leicesters. Saints won't beat Leicester. But then I can't see them beating Wasps either.
davieG Posted 22 April 2007 Posted 22 April 2007 Shame about the LCC Cricket Team, lost to Nottingham and the one dayer today as well.

Bert Posted 22 April 2007 Posted 22 April 2007 Shame about the LCC Cricket Team, lost to Nottingham and the one dayer today as well. Shame they were playing Durham.
The People's Hero Posted 23 April 2007 Posted 23 April 2007 Maidstone United won again on Saturday too and can seal a second successive promotion on Tuesday night against local rivals Ashford Town. Could be back in the conference in a few years.

Wahey! Good work the Stones. I'd noticed they'd been having a bit of a wobble of late. If they'd won their games in hand, it'd be wrapped up by now.

If they'd won their games in hand, it'd be wrapped up by now. They've been awful recently. In fact, they've been lucky to get the points they have done at points this season. Back on track now hopefully.
The People's Hero Posted 23 April 2007 Posted 23 April 2007 http://www.maidstoneunited.co.uk/matchday/...eason/table.htm Ryman League Division One South is the division they're currently in. In all probability, Tuesday night or at least the last game of the season will see them achieve automatic promotion. It's still a few leagues to go yet....

Actually, looking at the table, it seems that they need to make sure they beat both Ashford and Walton, since they're currently level on points with Tooting. May have been lucky, but they've still got the points!
The People's Hero Posted 23 April 2007 Posted 23 April 2007 Tooting have the harder run in I believe. Also Maidstone's goal difference is likely to be worth a point and they have a game in hand already.
Lord Nibblington Posted 23 April 2007 Posted 23 April 2007 Just had a look and Tooting are away to Ashford for their last game of the season. Course, good old Might mighty Maidstone can make things simple and win both of their remaining games, and bag themselves the title.
Lord Nibblington Posted 26 April 2007 Posted 26 April 2007 Good job Maidstone. And by good job, I mean nice cock up. Taken it down to the last game by drawing with Ashford. I blame you, TPH.
