Phube Posted 29 April 2007 Posted 29 April 2007 It's 2 from Wigan, West Ham, Charlton, Sheff U, Fulham. Now putting all personal thoughts aside, who would be a bigger threat to our promotion ( ) hopes. I pesonally hope its: Fulham and Wigan. As I not sure either could build a new good squad after all their players have left! Whaddayu think??

Well, I quite like Wigan and West Ham, but I would like to go to their stadiums next season. Whereas Charlton and Fulham I have already been to so don't really want them to come down. But I do hate Sheff U and have never been there, so bring them down
Mort Posted 29 April 2007 Posted 29 April 2007 I'd rather have Sheff Utd and WestHam down to be honest, then again if they come down WestHam will make Brum's spending look like pocket money, while sheff Utd wouldnt have too much trouble adapting and challenging again... so it'd probably be best for us if Wigan and Charlton come down, as both would have problems adapting and would not be able to "splash the cash" in the way West Ham will. Then again I think it'll probably be WestHam and Charlton who join Watford at the end of the season.
Simi Posted 29 April 2007 Posted 29 April 2007 West Ham would be a great away day next year. As would Charlton. The chance for revenge on Fulham would be nice aswell.
Floating Fox Posted 29 April 2007 Posted 29 April 2007 It's 2 from Wigan, West Ham, Charlton, Sheff U, Fulham. I'de rather play West Ham and Sheff U but I'de rather Charlton (Or Fulham) and Wigan go down becasue they don't deserve to be where they are and they have shite fans.
MC Prussian Posted 29 April 2007 Posted 29 April 2007 West Ham - just because to prove those pesky millionaires wrong that you can't buy success Fulham - two great chances for a massive FA Cup revenge Shame Watford are already down - I quite like them.
lcfc_jme Posted 29 April 2007 Posted 29 April 2007 West Ham simply 'cos that'd be an awesome away day next year. And Wigan - just because they're a Rugby League town and have no place amongst the football elite - their attendances prove that.

Wigan was one of my favourite away days a couple of years ago, despite the drab 0-0 draw. Fantastic pies.

But seriously, they're a Rugby League town (I'm sure their egg-chasing team get bigger and more vociferous followings than their football team), and their ground is more empty than what ours is, despite them being in the Prem.
Milky Posted 29 April 2007 Posted 29 April 2007 Is there really any point in West Ham coming down? With the mega rich chairman it won't take them long to get back up.
Guest Gist Posted 29 April 2007 Posted 29 April 2007 In fact, I'd like to see any of the teams down there apart from West Ham to come down.
Wils Posted 29 April 2007 Posted 29 April 2007 3 London teams. Watford,West Ham,Charlton. All close and easy games for me to get to.
Fez of Mahrez Posted 29 April 2007 Posted 29 April 2007 3 London teams. Watford,West Ham,Charlton. All close and easy games for me to get to. Or Fulham! You're laughing mate. Sheff United are practically safe, you just need to hope Wigan stay up and you've got three easy away games next season.
Wils Posted 29 April 2007 Posted 29 April 2007 Or Fulham! You're laughing mate. Sheff United are practically safe, you just need to hope Wigan stay up and you've got three easy away games next season. Yep. Or Fulham. We can have a little gathering again, get James involved. Were be laughing.
Fez of Mahrez Posted 29 April 2007 Posted 29 April 2007 Yep. Or Fulham. We can have a little gathering again, get James involved. Were be laughing. Yep, and Hols. I'm determined to get that clown Knighton Matt to a few away games next season too. Happy days.
Wils Posted 29 April 2007 Posted 29 April 2007 Yep, and Hols.I'm determined to get that clown Knighton Matt to a few away games next season too. Happy days. He can be persuaded. I was thinking more of going for a drink alone with Holly to be fair. Duke of York? For Palace next year is on.
Simon Posted 29 April 2007 Posted 29 April 2007 Cant see Sheff United being relegated now. If we are talking about mounting a decent promotion challenge (and I'll only be convinced of that when I see the manager, coaching staff and players we bring in) then I think its fairly obvious that we don't want West Ham to come down as they should have plenty in the tank to mount a promotion challenge. Wigan also have the cash and Jewell will spend it wisely. Charlton don't have the financial clout (although I guess the sale of Darren Bent will give them a few million) and Al Fayed looks to have lost interest in Fulham in terms of giving his manager a lot of money. So purely for selfish reasons I'll say I'd want Charlton and Fulham. At the moment though I think it'll be Wigan and Charlton.
lookwhaticando Posted 29 April 2007 Posted 29 April 2007 Charlton and Fulham. The three I wanted relegated after Coleman was sacked - Watford, Charlton, Fulham. I actually like Wigan, but I think I'm outnumbered here.
