Fez of Mahrez Posted 21 January 2007 Posted 21 January 2007 RJD2 - Good Times Roll pt.2 Indescribably brilliant.
Flynny Posted 21 January 2007 Posted 21 January 2007 Air - Moon Safari. The entire album. I love vocoded vocals and honky synth noises and guitar thrown in on occasion. 'Remember' and 'Kelly watch the stars' are brilliant.
Daggers Posted 22 January 2007 Posted 22 January 2007 This morning it is Bowie morning ~ Hunky Dory, Low, Ziggy, Diamond Dogs and Station to Station albums. Hunky Dory trancends everyday ability.
Flynny Posted 22 January 2007 Posted 22 January 2007 OK Computer in the right order this time. Hah, good. I played the whole of Kid A earlier. Then I played the whole of 'Beatific Visions' by Brakes. Then I went to individual tracks. I have Map of the Problematique. Only proper, proper good sog on the new Muse album.
Libertine Posted 22 January 2007 Posted 22 January 2007 Kid A is damn awesome. I know what you mean about BH&R. I like most of the songs but not an insane amount like I do most previously. I think Take A Bow is probably my favourite because it's kinda old school Muse. Hopefully this poppy stuff is just a phase.

I think Take A Bow is probably my favourite because it's kinda old school Muse. Hopefully this poppy stuff is just a phase. It's just lost an extra dimension like they just couldn't be fooked anymore. It's like once they conciously knew exactly what fans liked they just tried to copy it in half an hour with a synthesiser they found in a back room and then dubbed the rest on top quickly later. Take a Bow, Knights, SMBH and CoD are the only other ones that hold my interest, really.
Flynny Posted 22 January 2007 Posted 22 January 2007 Good God I'm sick of Knights. So overplayed. I cleverly get around that by not listening to the radio/watching music channels. Magic.
Libertine Posted 22 January 2007 Posted 22 January 2007 I cleverly get around that by not listening to the radio/watching music channels. Magic. I don't listen to the radio anymore but I watch tv channels all the time. I turn it over when it comes on but it's still had an effect on me. Anyway, they'll do a 'The Wall' kinda album in the future so I'm looking forward to that. And maybe a piano based EP.

They'll go too over the top (even for them) or just drift into mediocrity now, I reckon. Few bands make their best material 10 years after they form.
Libertine Posted 22 January 2007 Posted 22 January 2007 I wouldn't be surprised if you're right tbh. What a waste that would be.
Fez of Mahrez Posted 22 January 2007 Posted 22 January 2007 Muse - Knights of Cydonia. Norrileh. Oh and since when was Lisa Stansfield in the Smashing Pumpkins?
Libertine Posted 22 January 2007 Posted 22 January 2007 She's more likely to be in the new line-up than D'arcy.
Daggers Posted 23 January 2007 Posted 23 January 2007 Oh and since when was Lisa Stansfield in the Smashing Pumpkins? When they came round our house earlier...but I told them to **** off and get proper jobs.
Babylon Posted 23 January 2007 Posted 23 January 2007 Klaxons - Golden Skans Mika - Grace Kelly Jamie T - Money Jamie T - Calm Down Dearest
