Filbert_Ross Posted 24 May 2007 Posted 24 May 2007 in the pub last night, full of tosser liverpool 'fans' I cheered when Milan scored and this liverpool 'fan' turned to me and said- "you must be a man.u fan" I said " No mate im from Leicester I support Leicester" he didint know what to say. tosser
Raj Posted 25 May 2007 Posted 25 May 2007 No disrespect intended, but any real football fan knows that you MUSt support your local team. Only a glory hunting twat would support a team they have no affiliation to. I even know of people who'support' Real madrid.......LOSERS! WHY would you want to be known as a glory seeker anyway. Living in Leicester and supporting Liverpool(when i was a kid in the 70's and 80's.Then everyone was supporting man u, now it seems that they all support Chelski. VERY SAD! surely THEY know theyare SAD???
Sods Posted 25 May 2007 Posted 25 May 2007 Shouldn't let it worry you Foxlad. Most of these pre-pubescent nincompoops only latch onto successful sides due to their own lack of self-esteem. i try not to, but this town is full of them. The best part of it is the graffiti saying i love leicester city on a bridge wall.
SystonFox Posted 25 May 2007 Posted 25 May 2007 a mate of mine "supports" man utd but has only ever been to old trafford for a stadium tour. its a joke.
Simi Posted 25 May 2007 Posted 25 May 2007 a mate of mine "supports" man utd but has only ever been to old trafford for a stadium tour. its a joke. Which was no doubt free?
Dr The Singh Posted 25 May 2007 Posted 25 May 2007 I support my local teams, whether thay be football, cricket, rugby, baseball, or even womens mud wrestling!!! No matter how pants they are, I always look for results of my local teams!!!
Webbo Posted 25 May 2007 Posted 25 May 2007 I've always wondered why people from Australia, Basingstoke or Maidstone etc who come on here support Leicester, on balance we'll always have more disappointments than highs. A chap I used to sit next to came from Slough, when I asked him why he supported us he said in the 63 cup final all his family wanted Man U to win so just to be awkward he wanted Leicester, he's been supporting us ever since.
Tommeh Posted 25 May 2007 Posted 25 May 2007 a mate of mine "supports" man utd but has only ever been to old trafford for a stadium tour. its a joke. And a bloody good tour it is too! I've been to 4 games at old trafford (2 England, 2 City) and thats 3 times more than my mate who supports Man U and the game he did go he came with me in the Leicester end!
Lillehamring Posted 25 May 2007 Posted 25 May 2007 there will always be those who support a succesful team, because winning can be fun; but for me you have to supposrt your local team. especially if you aren't just an armchair fan. when i moved to norway, i didn't pick a team to support until i knew where i was going to be living, so that i could go and support them - it was tempting, having no geographic connection, to just pick rosenborg cause they have won the league 19 of the last twenty years or something, but as i have ended up in oslo i picked valerenga... though i must confess, i picked them over lyn cause they had a better record - oops - but, come on, i've been supporting city for 25 years, i deserve a break... thinking about it, i also picked valerenga cause they play in blue - thats how leicester i am!
