Ian Wright's TalkSport radio show is being probed by Ofcom after the ex-England striker urged listeners to phone or text in with jokes about black people.

The regulatory body has received a small number of complaints about Monday's Drivetime show, in which Wright, defended ethnic gags, poked fun at people with red hair, and screamed "idiot" at a caller. Wright has sailed close to the wind before, with one show featuring him talking about how amusing he finds dwarves.

No you cant but its a similar situation with a certain word we know that black people can say and no-one else can.

I think he's funny as well but what's good for the goose is good for the gander.

OK it in no way resembles the "He's what is known in some schools as a f***ing lazy thick n***er." comment made by Big Ron but he's made a misjudgement and should be punished. Otherwise it's just another case of positive discrimination.

On reflection, I'm not saying he should lose his job maybe a suspension because I think he was just trying to make a point and it backfired.

He's as sick of all this PC crap as much as the rest of us.

As for the jokes. We've been telling Irish jokes for as long as I remember. What difference is it that the joke is about blacks they have blacks in Ireland too you know!

As long as they are not meant to be purely offensive then I don't see the problem and I know there'll always be someone offended but thats life I suppose.

As I said as long as they are not malicious I tend to laugh at them rather then get offended when someone tells a joke about my race or colour.
