What are people's expectations?

I'd like to see us pushing towards the play offs. I think I'll live if we don't make them but I think we have to hope for more than just some improvement to mid table due to the huge changes in both persobbel and attitude over the summer. around 8th-ish would be good in my book.

I'm trying not to expect too much really. I'm just f**king excited about the new season.

We have new players coming out of our ears, a manager who I love (sorry, Barton) more and more each day, a chairman who is spending money and a side that (on paper) looks strong relative to most of the other teams in the league.

F**k me what a difference a Milan makes.

Only used to working in a team I'm afraid - I've done the flowchart analysis but it's time to hand it on to the next stage.

I reckon I've covered most bases

It's going to take some tinkering with before we are filthy rich.

Although, that is a sound foundation for major contributory social factors for your gayness and life expectancy,

If we are going to bet on this, it is irrelevant wether or not the players are sold.

What is important is that your reaction is consistent with the flow chart.

For me to invest appropriately I will need to know (from yourself or other posters):

i) How Gay is Daggers? - Please list all observed tendancies from previous gay relationships, time spent in closet and behaviour even verging on camp.

ii) If he says he'll kill himself, will he actually go through with it, or does he often make idle threats for attention...any previous history of self harm etc....

Once the reliability of these variables have been established I will be seeking odds from bookmakers on the proposed outcome of Daggers' flow diagram.

If anybody knows a bookie who would be interested in offering me odds on Daggers' suicide or an extreme increase in his 'gayness' over the 2007/08 season please let me know.

I would also welcome the assistance of any parties who can satisfactorily monitor and regulate gayness over a period of time. Please post a CV with detailed research and related

experience in the study of monitoring gayness.

Regards,

N.

I am curious as to what people's expectations are for the following season as there is a lot of stuff on threads that leaves me gobsmacked. Things from potential player lists (God love FM2007) to how we should play to what people think of our current mob listed or not.

If you think back to when we last went up alongside Mandaric controled Portsmouth, there was a lot made about the money Pompey had spent on players, yet their outlay in transfer fees was fairly small. Mandaric's MO is to bring in good players for little outlay to other Club's and pay them bonuses etc... to get the job done.

So all those wishing an Eastwood or Koumas may as well forget it. We may splash the odd bit here and there but in the main we'll do it on the cheap.

Secondly, there are far too many people getting uptight at the prospect of our percieved style of play, if you think we are going to stroke it round like Ajax then you are sadly wrong. The CCC doesn't allow for that kind of football and to achieve it you would require highly skilled players; and they are not going to be wanting to ply there trade in the CCC. Despite being the 4th most popular league in Europe the standard of easy on the eye football is lacking. That said you can still play good football moving forward at pace and precision, bypassing the midfield only to bring them back in as you move higher up the field.

Watch the promotion season again on DVD - Walker --> Deane/Benjamin/Scowcroft --> Dickov GOAL!!!! I'll have 70 of those this year no qualms.

I will take a midtable 12th and above finish this season, safe by February and all that. Under Brian Little we had a rag tag bunch of misfits and 'who-are-they's' and we did with Martin O'Neill as well. I will gladly take a smidgen of that fight and will to battle as a foundation from season one.

Total football and millions on players forget it, but the heart back in the Club and being a team no one really fancies playing, that'll do.

I want my new shirt...was supposed to be delivered today!

Not very in truth, but I'm prepared to attend courses and do an NVQ if it gets me the gig.

No.
