Ric Flair Posted 9 February 2005 Posted 9 February 2005 He's got potential and since Levein has taken over he's shown what he is capable of. He thrives on confidence and when he has little of it, he rarely performs to the best of his ability. That's why it's essential the crowd get off his back. Definately one of the most improved players since Adams has left us. I rate him.
Jonbluefox9 Posted 9 February 2005 Posted 9 February 2005 Jordan Stewart is a confidence player. It's usually strikers that rely on confidence most but Jordan probably needs it even more. It might have something to do with being rejected by Villa as a youngster because I think he supports them. It must knock you back a bit but I also hear he's very cocky when he's playing well and needs to be brought back down to earth.
Simon Posted 9 February 2005 Posted 9 February 2005 Agree with most of whats been said. Hes inconsistent, but he needs CONFIDENCE and the sections of the crowd CONSTANTLY on his back need to stop this. Once they do and he gets on a run they will find he is one of the best players we have.

Oh yeah, and everyone else in this thread has described Stewart well.

He is capable of putting a great ball in, but more often that not they're either too low, high, or over the bar. I think he's a decent left back, and has been one of our best players since Levein took over. He has the pace to cover the centrebacks and has rescued us on a number of occasions this season.
Ash Posted 9 February 2005 Posted 9 February 2005 The best left winger in the club. 64795 When fully fit , it would be Lee Morris
Steven Posted 9 February 2005 Posted 9 February 2005 To misquote Churchill "He is a riddle wrapped in a mystery inside an enigma".
BartonFox Posted 9 February 2005 Posted 9 February 2005 To misquote Churchill "He is a riddle wrapped in a mystery inside an enigma". 64809 Never a truer word. He is themost frustrating player ever to pull on the blue shirt. He has the ability to be good player trouble is he is so arrogant that he will never fulfil it. Hence why so many people get on his back, they don't do it just to be nasty, he brings it himself IMHO.

Burleyfox Posted 9 February 2005 Posted 9 February 2005 Even puffer Riley was a better winger than Stewart!!
Guest Daniel Posted 9 February 2005 Posted 9 February 2005 I have mixed feelings on Jordan, some week's he looks very good and I think 'maybe we have a good player here' and the next week 'I will feel like yelling abuse at him'. He looks his best when running at defenders, oh and taking the ball with him because he forgets sometimes.
Bert Posted 9 February 2005 Posted 9 February 2005 quick, inconsistent, says more or the less the same thing everytime he's interviewed and is a confidence player

As soon as he makes the slightest mistake, the crowd get on to his back, and start chanting he's a willy puller, or that he should be playing for Forest/Derby/Coventry. I know he's frustrating, but getting on his back like that won't help him, will it? Encouraging someone to do well, or praising them for their effort will help hugely.

I can homnestly say the only player's backs ive ever got on are Akinbye & Blake. I dont like either of them and they were both a disgrace to this club. Stewart is young and needs all the support he can get, any abuse will only make him worse and knock his confidence.
adam Posted 10 February 2005 Posted 10 February 2005 crap :w00t: 65050 erm shockin, p iss poor, useless ,shi te Hes terrible the sooner he goes the better! Best left winger in the club??? How can that be possible when he cant dribble or cross the ball!
Fox in a Box Posted 10 February 2005 Posted 10 February 2005 Better under CL He would be a better footballer if he stopped thinking he was brillaint
