Sods Posted 11 June 2007 Posted 11 June 2007 Link is broke. Anyway nice to know we have a reserve team or your computer is. works fine
lookwhaticando Posted 11 June 2007 Posted 11 June 2007 The link is iffy for some. There's a parameter at the end that's throwing off some computers for one reason or another. If the main link doesn't work then you should click this one here.
Gené and Tonic Posted 11 June 2007 Posted 11 June 2007 Great news. Certainly be a benefit for youngsters and players neededing to gain match fitness. Maybe a factor that contributed to our downfall last season

Should really have just copied it earlier, shouldn't I? ------------------------------ Reserve News Football League bosses have agreed on three divisions for reserve teams next season. It was decided at last week's League annual general meeting in Portugal there will be three regional divisions of the Pontin's Holiday League. Forest's second string have again been placed in the Central division, where they finished as runners-up to Birmingham last season. Their opponents will be Bradford City, Coventry City, Huddersfield Town, Leicester City, Oldham Athletic, Port Vale, Shrewsbury Town, Stoke City, Walsall, West Bromwich Albion and Wolves. Meanwhile, Forest will play Birmingham in last season's reserve play-off on Wednesday, August 8 at Solihull Borough (kick-off 3pm). Source

Wezleylowski Posted 12 June 2007 Posted 12 June 2007 Will be good for the stars of the future E.g King, Odhiambo, Gradel, Dodds and of course Mattock. I expect these boys to take the Pontins league by storm next season
Thracian Posted 12 June 2007 Posted 12 June 2007 Dodds' chance to shine! Dodds may be involved but he's already scored goals in reserves football and will probably go on loan to Notts County if he's not involved with the first team. Gradel, King, Odhiambo. Sappleton, McKay, Jailow, Chambers, Magunda and Mattock will surely form the nucleus right now together with a goalkeeper and some more defenders.
Manwell Pablo Posted 12 June 2007 Posted 12 June 2007 Very happy that's been sorted out, what kind of club has no reserve team another thing that shows how useless the last administration was.
Lord Nibblington Posted 12 June 2007 Posted 12 June 2007 Very happy that's been sorted out, what kind of club has no reserve team another thing that shows how useless the last administration was. A bad one. As I think we stunningly proved last year.

I’d agree ... the reserve league should act as a very good venue through which those players not initially involved with the first team at the start of the season will be able to display to the management why they deserve inclusion, it'll be good for players like McKay, Chambers, Gradel, King etc... but I'd expect Mattock to be filling in a left back/left midfield fairly consistently as the season wears on... By the By… Any reason you suggest Notts County in particular as a destination for Dodds to go out on loan? what kind of club has no reserve team The same that had no scouting network, a skeleton coaching staff, an incompetent management and a short sighted board… all comes down to money in the end… still the worst is (touch wood) now behind us!

He already has a six months provisional loan agreement with Notts County (with callback) which can come into effect if he fails to force his way into the first team picture.
