Match Day Ticket Prices

Recommended Posts

I don't know why but the OS seems to consider the Blackpool game to be so massive they are selling tickets early and have announced the prices.

Tickets for the game will be priced from £23 for adults, £21 for senior citizens, £15 for the under 22s, £10 for under 16s and £5 for under 12s.

I don't what you think and it doesn't affect me personally, having ST but they seem exceptionally steep!

From OS

Leicester City Football Club have today taken the unprecedented move to make tickets for their opening Championship clash against Blackpool at the Walkers Stadium available on pre-order sale.

Fans would normally have to wait until July 14 to secure their seats for the highly anticipated match, which takes place on Saturday, August 11.

But to satisfy the expected high demand, the club have today announced that supporters will be able to pre-book their seats for the game from 9am on Monday, June 18.

A City spokesman said: "This is a huge opening game for us, and we will be targeting a 30,000-plus crowd to kick start the season.

"We are expecting unprecedented demand for Martin Allen's first game in charge and we would advise supporters to pre-order their tickets early to avoid disappointment."

Fans can email [email protected] with their contact details to place their order, or visit the ticket office in person at the Walkers Stadium.

I thought the general consensus was that match day tickets last year were waaaaaaaaaaaaaay too high.

they dont really effect me but £15 for u/22 seems good. I'm sure some games we're £22 last year. or they could have been the grade A fixtures :dunno:

They were considered way too high last season as everyone knew we were dog muck and waddling our way to oblivion. I don't think people will mind paying those prices if we are as Mandaric claims aiming for the Premiership.

we were aiming for it under Adams and Levein but the football was still shite, they're certainly gambling on getting some high profile signings and regular wins, if they don't we'll soon be down to ST holders only if even they can be bothered.

I hear what you are saying (except the worst football we have ever played was under Kelly) but I think everyone agrees there is going to be a better buzz initially about going back this season. If we start off well then it could just snowball from there.

Sadly the prices are the prices and we all bought in to them when we welcomed Milan in.

I'm thinking it's all part of a strategy to encourage more people into ST's.

I can't remember who said, but someone mentioned that signings may be staggered and delayed in order to maximise sales. I laughed at the time...but now I'm starting to think there's something in it.

That's pretty much a fact.

I didn't think that there would be much in that either, but I suppose it could happen really.

The club really seem to be attempting to get more people to buy season tickets instead of buying on the day for example. With the new ruling about no matchday tickets in N and L it seems that they really do want the fans to commit.

Then it should be stated as 'Fact!'

If you are not going to abide by the norms and conventions of FoxesTalk forumery then I am going to have to write a very strong of complaint letter to someone.

You will not like it.

Oh no.

This is total and utter nonsense, signings are made as and when players, agents, managers and chairmen get their acts together, agree fees, sort medicals, terms and a million and one other things, to even dream they would deliberately delay and risk loosing a player is a work of total fiction, Our match day ticket prices are fair, reasonable and a bluddy site cheaper than other clubs, some with facilities much worse than ours !

It's a blatant attempt to encourage ST sales are maximised IMO

And we are, of course welcome to our opinions, just so happens that yours is totally WRONG , not even sure what kind of a twisted mind could dream up such bull shine !

It doesn't affect me directly but I still think they are way too high, as for other clubs I've never seen the relevance of that argument, we are not in competition with them, and to use them as a means to justify high prices is nonsense unless you are convinced that their prices are reasonable which I don't think they are.

Don't be a dick, no one said that - it is the timed release of the information appertaining to the signing of a player that has been called into question.

I think what he is saying is that our prices our quite good for the league were in. Yes they are way to high. But thats the crap country we live in.

We are in competition with other clubs, its like banks, shops or whatever, they all set the prices around the same, and people compete with each other for cheapest prices...I can see where your coming from though. I think.

One argument is that season ticket prices offer a better deal- reduce match ticket prices and you have to reduce season ticket prices too. I see your argument Davie, but if you look at Milan's track record then you will see that raising ticket prices happens with him in charge. I said it at the time Milan took over that it would be something we would have to live with. I don't think some people took me seriously. I wouldn't expect reductions any time soon.
