Everyone on a two year contract

Recommended Posts

What does this mean then? Milan has a three year plan.

I guess it's just incase some of them don't turn out as expected and we're not stuck with them for the year we're supposed to be going for promotion.

answered your own question lol you maybe right, tell you who knows why though! milan or martin???!!

Nielsen - don't know why it's 2 years. Possibly just in case he doesn't adjust and isn't up to it. Cautiousness rules?

N'Gotty - obvious, really. He's past his peak, you'd imagine, but you need to offer him extra to get him on board - 2 years was the logical choice (he had the offer of a year in the Premiership, remember).

Cort - simple, again. Huge risk with his injury record. Two years was enough to entice him, but not too long enough to shaft ourselves if he gets crocked.

Kishishev - he'll be 33 when he plays for us, almost 35 when his contract expires.

As for the others... Sappleton's not long out of an academy, could go either way in the first team. Sergio... his recent past doesn't warrant three years, because playing for a bunch of part-timers isn't the best of springboards for a season or two in the Championship.

Basically 2 years is a good compromise in many of these cases.

its really quite simple as 3 year plans go.

First year gain easy promotion to Prem by a good 12pt margin. Sell off players still under contract to relegated Derby to use as squad players.

Second year sensible spending to squeeze a top 6 placement

Third year european trophy and let the cash flood in.

frankly its not rocket science....

Perhaps it's now just a two year plan?

Or maybe the plan just involves not having any players in year three?

By year three the clone production facility at Belvoir Drive should have been completed and running at three Andy Johnsons an hour

Does that mean it's producing three Andy Johnsons an hour, or running at the speed of 3 Andy Johnsons an hour?

It's one of those new-fangled metric measurements they're trying to get us to use.

Bloody Europeans!
