Gené and Tonic Posted 25 June 2007 Posted 25 June 2007 They really have let some morons have their questions answered. Not a positive comment in sight. He must have been close to saying 'Bloody hell you moaning ****ers I'll go away then' A few examples were 'Worst kit ever', 'Buy some good players', 'The players we've bought so far are crap', 'We should have got someone more high profile than Allen' I'm so angry that these type of idiotic questions have managed to have been asked and printed in a newspaper. Edited: On the link below there are more questions than in the Merc..so there are a few more sensible ones
Gené and Tonic Posted 25 June 2007 Author Posted 25 June 2007 Not sure, it's on page 10 of the Merc, you could look on their website.

Joe. Posted 25 June 2007 Posted 25 June 2007 Whats with the Tony Blair question  There are some seriously stupid questions in there...
Raj Posted 25 June 2007 Posted 25 June 2007 Same with Evington FOX and Kentfox Nowt wrong with my question!
Kent Fox Posted 25 June 2007 Posted 25 June 2007 Cor Blimey! I made it into the LM That's not happened for a long time. Since the incident in '85 What's "moaning b****rds" in Serbian as I reckon that's what he must have thought..
Simi Posted 25 June 2007 Posted 25 June 2007 You've spoken about raising fans' expectations here - then you go and appoint a manager from the old fourth division when we, the fans, were hoping for someone with a bit more clout. I wish you and Martin Allen well - but I fear this is your first mistake.N Allen, (no relation) Loughborough MM: "I appreciate your question but let me tell you, I did interview a lot of experienced people for the manager's job at Leicester City. "I didn't see any big desire for them to become the manager - they didn't want the job in the way Martin wanted the job. I was impressed with his desire. I genuinely think it's what this club needs at this time. "Look, when Martin O'Neill came to Leicester, he didn't arrive here from Real Madrid. He came from Norwich. "Alex Ferguson came to Manchester United because he did well at a smaller Scottish club. "I don't judge people from where they have come from - I judge them for where they want to Fair play to Milan . There are some incredibly stupid questions asked.
Joe. Posted 25 June 2007 Posted 25 June 2007 "If your dad can't get a pie at half time, maybe you should let me know. Give me a call - then, the following week, I'll come down and queue with you, see if we can sort it out together."
Simi Posted 25 June 2007 Posted 25 June 2007 Did the fans warn you off appointing Neil Warnock?Mark Manning, Coalville MM: "To be honest, Mark, yes they did. I have to say, Neil is not, despite what the newspapers have said, a close friend of mine. "I have met him on maybe four or five occasions. I know him professionally. That's all. "I think he has done well as a manager and, yes, he was on my short-list. But then the e-mails and messages started to arrive, it was clear that a lot of our fans were not so keen on Mr Warnock. So I listened to them. "Besides, as I've said earlier, of all the candidates I interviewed, I was most impressed with Martin Allen." So all the moaning did pay off.
Kent Fox Posted 25 June 2007 Posted 25 June 2007 Fair play to Milan .There are some incredibly stupid questions asked. Agreed. I think he's handled that lot really well. Nothing but admiration for the bloke.
Joe. Posted 25 June 2007 Posted 25 June 2007 Agreed. I think he's handled that lot really well.Nothing but admiration for the bloke. Definitely, top bloke It amazes me some of the questions asked in this Q & A from sour City fans... <_<
Daggers Posted 25 June 2007 Posted 25 June 2007 "Let's sort the men's football team out first, shall we? Then maybe I might get time to have a look at the ladies." What a rogue
Kent Fox Posted 25 June 2007 Posted 25 June 2007 Definitely, top bloke It amazes me some of the questions asked in this Q & A from sour City fans... <_< I think he expected us to be sour. He knows what a rough time we have had of late. He has obviously listened to the fans however. It appears he wants a good relationship with the fans and that's good. I'd bet he has someone trawling through here every so often - I would!
Simi Posted 25 June 2007 Posted 25 June 2007 This is a personal favourite of mine... Do you feel that football players need to be a bit frightened of their manager to work to their full capacity? Is that why you brought in Martin Allen?T Jenkins, Leicester MM: "No, I don't. Martin Allen was not brought in for that reason. He's a tough cookie, certainly, and he's very straight. I think the fans will like that. He won't tolerate players walking around the pitch. Those days are over. "I don't think the players need to be frightened of their manager - or chairman - but they need to know who is in charge. "I stopped the pay roll at Portsmouth one week. It was after a terrible, lacklustre away defeat. "Our supporters had made a four-hour journey to watch rubbish - so I said I wouldn't pay them. "There was all sorts of fuss and the PFA got involved. I had to pay them in the end, bBut I made my point. I don't tolerate losers. "Would I do that again? If I had to, yes." This is the attitude we cried out for last season. Hang on... If you didn't have any clean pants for the day, would you delve into your wife's pants drawer - or go commando?Adam, Melton Mowbray MM: "Ha, ha - this is a tricky one. Let's see. My first option, I think, would have to be my wife's drawer. "But I have to say I wouldn't feel very comfortable with that - and besides, she is much smaller than me, so that could cause a problem. So, just so we're clear, I'm ruling that one out, okay? "So I'd have go without. I guess that would be an uncomfortable day. I've never had to do that - and I think it's fair to say I've never been asked that before." Master Fox ?
Raj Posted 25 June 2007 Posted 25 June 2007 Having had the pleasure to meet with MM i can confire...he won't take NO shit from ANYONE...be it players, manager or staff. P.s I had 2 questions posted!!!
Pete_foxes Posted 25 June 2007 Posted 25 June 2007 Fair play to Milan .There are some incredibly stupid questions asked. Yeah there are some stupid questions, the one that made me laugh was the guy asking about how to have a successful business
Fez of Mahrez Posted 25 June 2007 Posted 25 June 2007 "Have you seen the statue of former Southampton star Ted McMinn, which the Pompey fans reckoned looked like you? Have you thought about bringing it to the Walkers Stadium?" Tim Smith, Bermuda For christ's sake. I swear to God we have more idiots than any other fanbase in the world. Either that or the Mockery have spelt Bates in a really weird way.
Brainy Posted 25 June 2007 Posted 25 June 2007 It amazes me how open he seems to be with these questions. I wish I asked a question now.
Thracian Posted 25 June 2007 Posted 25 June 2007 This is a personal favourite of mine...This is the attitude we cried out for last season. Hang on... Master Fox ? Imagine if he'd done that at Leicester when they played badly - he'd have attended more PFA meetings than the committee members! Love it though, the bloke's got a bit of devil in him and we've a lot more chance of succeeding with that sort of attitude than the "good bunch of lads/excuse-me quickstep" approach.
