You can download the ROMS off the net and load them onto the card. I have done this with the GBA and never had a problem

Err..right

Excuse my age related thickness, but am I right in thinking that the card on Fleebay has all those games on? It looks like it.

And does Dubai Andy do the same thing?

Yes.

I am old too but I shall explain.

The games (Cartridges) you buy in shops are a memory card with a ROM on it, nothing more. ROMs are games. You can download them from sites on the net. You can then load them onto a special memory card. Once loaded insert the card in the DS and you have a menu of which games you want to play. You can also load movies and mp3s on too. (I must qualify this by saying this is what I do with the GBA but I have not got a DS but I assume they work the same. Dubaiandy will tell you for defo)

Both fleebay and dubaiandy will provide the cards with preloaded games. You then get all those games for the price of two.

Nice one, hairy. Thanks.

Honestly, I had given no thought to the games until now.

You make me laugh!!

The DS is fine for U12's...but the PSP kicks it's ass for anyone that wants a serious handheld.

The screen is better, the functionality pisses on the DS.

I have 4 gig of music on one card....four movies on another card...and a pack of games. You can't knock it as an adult toy

Stop being tight and buy them both. You know they are not for her but for you!!!!

Well I was kind of hoping for more pro-PSP but I'm sure I can find a game or two to play.

I'd rather her have an iPod and get bloody Disney & High School Musical off of mine!!

Get rid of Disney, that is terrible! You have got to start a morning singing along to the bare necessities it put you in that happy place before the bast@rds ruin your day!!!

Drink puts me in "that happy place".

Bare Necessities at 0630 does not!

Trust me, Disney HAS to go.

I would say the PSP... there are more parts of the DS that are likely to get broken (the flap that opens, the pen(?)) and also, if you like Pink then the PSP also comes in that colour. Graphics are better for the PSP and there are a load of games that come for that... then again, if the DS is what you choose then its OK too...

I was laughing at their 'gaming' statements!! I would never dispute the PSP's multi-functionality, but as a gaming, hand-held console you can't get better than a DS!

ds has shit games.

:frusty:

Yes you can.

The PSP wipes the floor with the kiddy DS.

I'm agreeing with the phubester here!!

the games on the DS are so much more fun especially the interactive ones don't forget as your daughters friends have them to she will be able to play against her friends and so on

I got a psp on lauch day and have been nothing more than disappointed total waste of money, overpriced and well haven't used mine in ages

The DS is also a more kid friendly design and it doesn't take long to put a f**k off big scratch over the psp screen!!
