Foxestalk F.C Idea?

Recommended Posts

I think it's important to have the team full of fairly active members. That way it encourages use of the forum and also gives the side a firm and justified identity.

Agreed, Chambo_9 anyone?

If we're playing the stewards, count me in.

Were you not going to play anyway?

Uncle Albert, first we want to see how many people are interested, and that see what everyone's idea's are for this team.

Pfffttttt

I don't mind turning out for the occasional game but every week is a bit much.

How much time do you want pencilled in for recovery! :D

Well this is it I already train, and play 5 a side twice a week from September it will be training 2 X 5 a side and one game on a Sunday morning.

I'd be dead.

Or you'd be so fit you'll have a pose of women in your wake everywhere you go!:D

Presumably the idea is to build a list of friendlies, in which case couldn't fixtures be arranged for a 2pm nor 2.30 kick-off?

That would certainly fit in with my timetable better.

And were that the case I'd be happy to help with training and managing the team on the day always assuming the players were happy but I wouldn't want responsibility for organising matches or for team selection.

In fact team selection would need to involve every FoxesTalk member who wants to play and it seems to me the team might best be developed rather like a celebrity football team, the emphasis being on the fun and social side of playing and the building up of lasting comeraderie within the framework of some reasonably committed football.

Others might see it differently and it will be interesting to read the views but, overall, it sounds a worthwhile and fun idea.

yeah it would be nice to have a off field manager as its hard for Manwell to concentratre on subs etc whilst playing . As long as i dont miss City matches then im 100% commited

Sounds like a good idea!

I'd be interested in this as never really bothered to play for a proper team since my school team back when I was young (my performances in the O21 v U21 game might have given that away). Always regretted it though!

What's happening with this? Interest still...Or best to put on hold until the 5-a-side is sorted?

I would be interested in watching, along with chanting and scarf waving and wearing chefs trousers, someone has to replace Alexi.
