I think the atmosphere has more to do with things happening on the pitch than muzak being played after a goal.

PHG is unique to City. The PHG is similar to the way that that the horn was used to signal the charge of cavalry in war, one to rally the troops the other to strike the fear of god into the opposition. It should symbolise that we have just scored a goal we are on a charge and after more.

Why do football clubs feel the need to pander to kids like this? Really pisses me off. I'm not exactly ancient but we haven't got much left of the sort of "matchday experience" I used to have when I first started going down Filbo. I was 5 years old when I first started going and I didn't need them playing MC Hammer when we scored.

I used to love O Fortuna from Carmina Burana (the old spice ad, theme) they used to play it before the players ran out of the tunnel and you would have expected Pele and Maradonna to come out but It never failed to make me smile when Matty and big Gerry T would stagger out to war after a hard friday night.

Also the horn stuff is quaint, but in my assessment, inappropriate. I like being called the foxes but in the great fox escape kinda way.

I SERIOUSLY HAVE NO DESIRE TO BE ASSOCIATED WITH FOXHUNTERS. THEY ARE NO BETTER THAN DOG FIGHTERS, BADGER BAITERS ETC.... IF IT WASN'T A HOBBY FOR TOFFS IT WOULD HAVE BEEN BANNED YEARS AGO. -I do feel sorry for those workers who have suffered as a result of the ban- blacksmiths etc

I would enjoy hunting foxhunters. A really large manhunt with me on a horse and a pack of alsatians with some toffee nosed twat wearing nothing but his plimsoles and a silver spoon rammed firmly up his ass waddling through leicestershire countryside with tears streaming down his frightened face longing for warm busom of mummy, yet finding at every avenue he turns to, a bunch of footy fans drinking port, laughing at him and chasing him while blowing horns.

I also support a Norwegian team and we have released two CD's with only original material - about 20 songs. Containing only local bands and members of the Kop. This is not an official club-release - everything has been produced, financed and distributed by the supporters.

Several of the songs from the CD's are sung by the supporters during every game. And this is a CD you can put on at home regardless of the outcome of the game. And it works wonders in the pub before the game...

The song is basically about that we havent won shit since 1987, but we don't care - we are looking ahead anyway - no matter what.

to be honest the goal music is irrelevant to the actual atmosphere , maybe we hear it once or twice a game . the biggest thing i miss from the filbo days is the songs we sing , we moan like owt about the club playing this song or that song but the atmosphere is down to us not them.

when we were at filbo people were in the ground at 2.15 to give the away fans a bit of stick and have a good sing . as our players warmed up we had a song for every 1 of them and they would give us a wave or clap back , it built up good affection between fan and player . the player didnt have to be nessasarilly any good , average players were considered heroes as long as they were giving 100% for us . we went through every song book and loved it ! i remember a 3-0 home defeat against portsmouth in 93/94 ish. we were awful , missed a pen and got outplayed but we sang and sang and sang , walshie made his comeback off the bench after 7 months out and it gave the crowd a lift , obviously we were dissapointed but you went home with head held high knowing as a fan you had done your best to lift the side.

nearest over the last few years was fulham away last season but that was a massive 1 off . i really feel for our younger fans who never experienced pen 2/3 and finally pen 1 when we went all seater
