Thracian Posted 28 July 2007 Posted 28 July 2007 Oops, I appear to have just 'accidentally' (without really concentrating) opened a rather nice bottle of Chilean Cabernet Sauvignon. Well, having got that far, it'd be rude not to have some really... To savour.
AoWW Posted 28 July 2007 Posted 28 July 2007 Oh go on then, pour me a glassOne of those really big glasses mind, not one of those dumb little 1 unit types I only own big wine glasses. I'm not a 'dumb-little-one-unit-glasses' kinda gal. I'm also incredibly bored so, yes, I'd be more than happy to share a bottle with you. (Not that I'd only do that when I'm bored - anytime, obviously... ...I'll shut up now before the hole I'm digging gets any bigger!)
Daggers Posted 28 July 2007 Posted 28 July 2007 I have been enjoying a very fine little coffee, which complemented the delightfully cheeky little orange juice I had earlier.

Oh, I love my coffee nearly as much as I love my wine. I'm equally as fussy about it though. Type, flavour, country of origin, strength, blah...blab - I can take ages choosing coffee, and I'm a nightmare in Starbucks/Costa, etc, etc!

Phube Posted 29 July 2007 Posted 29 July 2007 I'm going off the traditional ball-breakers at the moment in favour of more easy-drinking types. That's why Nationwider is proud to sponsor Tesco Finest Garnacha, and Tesco Bog-Standard Garnacha. In the white corner, Frascati is proving very popular. Pinot Grigio is sooooo last year, yar. If you want easy drinking red, go for Brown Bros. Tarrango!! It's a beaut, and you serve it chilled... you won't regret it!!
lookwhaticando Posted 29 July 2007 Posted 29 July 2007 which sort cleans the drains best Beaujolais nouveau... '79.
Matt Posted 29 July 2007 Posted 29 July 2007 It's ok, been drinking it all week, but give me a pint anyday!
lookwhaticando Posted 29 July 2007 Posted 29 July 2007 In the cellar of life, there are always those who are destined to be cork sniffers.
Daggers Posted 29 July 2007 Posted 29 July 2007 Beaujolais nouveau... '79. Doesn't sound very nouveau to me

You've just named one of my all time fav reds - 'tis not at all unusual to find a bottle of this in my fridge. Plus, it's on offer at Tesco at the mo (or it was earlier in the week, anyhow). I kinda stocked up!
lookwhaticando Posted 30 July 2007 Posted 30 July 2007 Doesn't sound very nouveau to me Hmmmm Are you being your usual dry-humoured self, or did you fail to register the quote? Barman: Can I get you anything, Sir?Del: I'll have a bottle of Beaujolais Nouveau. Barman: Yes, Sir. Del: A '79.
