Im not jumping over Thrac for stating the obvious, but it would be nice to have someone who turns up at reserve and academy games to give us a bit of an unbiased insight of our players, especially the younger lads! They are not all superstars in the making and don't all deserve absurd ratings and comparisons with the first team squad. From what I have read from Thrac in the past, Levi Porter should be given a chance ahead of Clemence in midfield, Dodds in for Fryatt up front and now Gradel would be more dangerous at RM in front of Kaebi! I cant think of one youngster that has played who Thrac wouldn't have perceived with and I am waiting with baited breathe for the DJ out/Kee in and Sheehan back for Ferreira threads of the future!

Maybe I should just be greatful for any info from the aforementioned games as he turns up and is nice enough to put up ratings and a report but it is just a shame that his opinions are so biased towards the younger lads that we dont get what would ordinarily be a fair assessment. That too is why so many people jump on Thracs words at times and maybe give a biased view of him because we know what to expect!

If you go look at his numerical ratings you'll find them not to be biased in the slightest. Good going.

So long as you KNOW that Thracian places more trust in our youth players than most, you should be able to either to ignore him or "filter" his results to your own liking.

As I said previously, maybe I should just be appreciative of what we get from those like Thrac at the matches but surely we still have the right to voice an opinion of what is written, especially when at times it differs from the norm! I also have been to a few games when the Thrac has over-rated the kids and downgraded the rest of the players to make the younger lads look better! Its that sort of post which makes me query the legitimacy of his ratings for the games that I dont attend.

Also, on the topic of the youth players, I would be equally as delighted to see them make it. Having local players in the team is great for the fans in the stands, even the ones like me who live 100 miles away. I'm not trying to belittle the players who come through the system but am responding like many others have when he over does his assessments on players who are clearly very average.

True but Thrac like me is a whore of a poster and spends far too much time on here like me and thus, makes it easier to relate to his opinions! I know he thinks I over-react to his opinions but it is nothing more than banter between members. I could ignore his posts and not respond I suppose but I think if people started doing that on here you wont have any members left.

For the record, I don't dislike anyone on this forum but particularly enjoy the exchanges and banter with certain members, especially Thracian so this isnt me picking on him or starting a witch hunt. He is a fan of the club I support you know! :w00t:

I must admit I am happy that so many people have rated Fryatt well on the ratings page. I honestly thought he would hardly feature in the side when Cort came back on Saturday and the management team consistently ignoring him despite his goals for the reserves but now he has come on and apparently changed the game, I hope he gets a proper run in the side so he can show us what he can do with good players around him and not the shower that he had to play with last season.

After tonight he deserves it, Hume played a lot better when MF came on, the fans got a brilliant lift as well.
