Geo V Posted 9 October 2007 Author Posted 9 October 2007 If our season carries on like this then we wont even make 50 Goals. What happens if no-one wins Geo? Whoever is the closest wins mate. As I mentioned before I kind of expected some secondary account guessers and also people turning up just for the comp and disappearing and after speaking with LWICD we agreed to basically not count anyone who has posted less than 10 times on the forum. If someone was a single digit poster but after the comp got involved then their guess would be deemed valid so its too late for them to appear out of the blue now to quickly get above 10 posts!

I would like to say on behalf of Melrose that is deeply unfair. I would also like to move to have the Wii upped to first prize.

I still reckon that the winner should have first choice of the prize. The signed shirt should come with a presentation at the club and a picture in the paper of programme so is maybe worth a bit more than just a shirt. Maybe the club may sling in something else for the winner who knows? at the sarcasm towards Melrose or whoever else is down there but when I started the comp it was for fans of Leicester who were on this forum. I didn't join Talking Balls or any of the other ones to do a similar comp with the same prizes as I am a member on here only. Its unfair for people to just turn up and win a prize if they haven't contributed anything to these boards either prior or after they tabled a guess IMO.

Hmm we'll see. 1) Wiis are pretty rubbish 2) we scored 2 goals on Saturday although at our current rate we'll only score 51 goals this season.

STUHILL Posted 12 October 2007 Posted 12 October 2007 I so wanna change mine now. I thought with Allen in control and his record of goal scoring at MK DONS, we would be scoring loads, however with ultra defensive Megson in charge, i.e go 1 up and 'shut up shop', i think we will be scoring way less. I think Megson is a 1-0 win kinda manager, which obviously I'll take but not going to do my chances of winning anything in this competition any good!!! DAMMIT

DAMMIT I went for 65 I think and even that looks generous! The thing is you can never tell and we have a decent squad with more loan signings to come and more potential permanent signings in January so who knows what the end result will be?! I still think MP is hot favourite to win though.

David O'Leary Posted 15 October 2007 Posted 15 October 2007 What did you go for mate?! Their are far too many names on the list for me to check!I think Nath is right regarding the optimism on the goal scoring front. I think we will struggle to get beyond 65 goals which basically takes care of most of the guesses above! New Fez name : Master of the Unifez 58
Geo V Posted 15 October 2007 Author Posted 15 October 2007 58 It could have been worse fella, you could have gone for a Craigy Adams 100! :w00t: :w00t: :w00t:
MPH Posted 16 October 2007 Posted 16 October 2007 It could have been worse fella, you could have gone for a Craigy Adams 100! :w00t: :w00t: :w00t: i reckon im looking good for my 65! we just need to learn to score goals and i'll be all set!
Geo V Posted 16 October 2007 Author Posted 16 October 2007 i reckon im looking good for my 65! we just need to learn to score goals and i'll be all set! I think those with guesses in the 60s have a squeak but it all depends on the loan signings and more importantly the January signings as I have no doubt they`ll still be plenty of change ahead on the players front. Im hoping MM will throw more money at player recruitment if we are in the top half of the table come January so who knows from there!
Geo V Posted 17 October 2007 Author Posted 17 October 2007 66's not too optimistic I hope time will tell
Manwell Pablo Posted 17 October 2007 Posted 17 October 2007 I really don't think we'll score over 60 goals this season somehow. 9 Games in, we're on for 51 goals at our current rate.
Dames Posted 17 October 2007 Posted 17 October 2007 I really don't think we'll score over 60 goals this season somehow.9 Games in, we're on for 51 goals at our current rate. And some were touting us to get over 80 and a few insane ones think we can get over 100
Geo V Posted 17 October 2007 Author Posted 17 October 2007 And some were touting us to get over 80 and a few insane ones think we can get over 100 It was the Martin Allen Factor that made people :w00t: :w00t: :w00t: :w00t: :w00t:
Brainy Posted 20 October 2007 Posted 20 October 2007 I think Melrose (51) has got this one in the bag if Megson's here for the season.
Geo V Posted 20 October 2007 Author Posted 20 October 2007 I think Melrose (51) has got this one in the bag if Megson's here for the season. I dont think he qualifies mate.
Foxhateram Posted 21 October 2007 Posted 21 October 2007 I dont think he qualifies mate. After the last couple of games where we have treid to scrap one nil wins, im becoming more and more happy with my decision to go for a low goals count. i think 56 is sounding like a very realistic number now.

All it needs is a new signing or three or maybe another new manager and it all goes mad again!
Manwell Pablo Posted 20 November 2007 Posted 20 November 2007 We've played more games then we've scored goals, our projected target is something stupid like 43 goals at the moment, pathetic. We're only 8 games off half way as well!

Manwell Pablo Posted 20 November 2007 Posted 20 November 2007 You're almost guaranteed 2nd prize then Nah Melrose has been kicked out so I'll win. Thats if the new blokes tea, has the same inabilty to find the back of the net as Megsons.

Be honest, you really hope Ollie continues Kenton and Chambers in midfield and we win 1-0 or draw 0-0 all season dont you? I bet you have already lined up teh games for your new Wii
