Ultra Posted 26 August 2007 Posted 26 August 2007 Aug 25 Watford (4-1)Sept 15 QPR (win) Sept 29 Stoke (win) Oct 2 Wolves (lose) Oct 23 Sheff Utd (lose) Oct 27 Barnsley (draw) Nov 10 Burnley (draw) Nov 25 Cardiff (draw) Dec 1 Southampton (win) Dec 8 WBA (draw) Dec 25 Ipswich (win) Dec 29 Charlton (draw) My predictions tad optimistic but ah well If we could beat Barnsley twice last season I see no reason why we shouldn't do the same this time around. Especially now they have a certain A. Johnson as their midfield "general"...
Geo V Posted 26 August 2007 Posted 26 August 2007 I bow to your superior knowledge. Trees 1 -3 Leicester That ones for free but after Tuesday I shall start charging for my tips.
Mort Posted 26 August 2007 Posted 26 August 2007 Aug 25 Watford (4-1)Sept 15 QPR (win) Sept 29 Stoke (win) Oct 2 Wolves (lose) Oct 23 Sheff Utd (lose) Oct 27 Barnsley (draw) Nov 10 Burnley (draw) Nov 25 Cardiff (draw) Dec 1 Southampton (win) Dec 8 WBA (draw) Dec 25 Ipswich (win) Dec 29 Charlton (draw) My predictions tad optimistic but ah well I would jump on the prediction bandwagon... but after Saturday i just don't see any home fixture that worries me, with the players and attitude we showed yesterday i think all those games are winnable, of course we'll lose a few and draw some but i think we should be ok at home so long as we build on yesterdays result... WBA, Charlton, Cardiff, Sheff Utd IMHO all beatable...

davieG Posted 15 December 2007 Author Posted 15 December 2007 Two chances left to rise to the grand total of 4 home wins in 2007 Ipswich & Charlton. Needless to say I won't be holding my breath as I'd rather like to see 2008 in before I pass on!
Brainy Posted 15 December 2007 Posted 15 December 2007 Well Ipswich will obviously end their dreadful away record against us and Charlton have won their last 5/6 away games.
Master Fox Posted 15 December 2007 Posted 15 December 2007 Aug 25 Watford - 2nd WinSept 15 QPR - Draw Sept 29 Stoke - Draw Oct 2 Wolves - Lose Oct 23 Sheff Utd - Lose Oct 27 Barnsley - Lose Nov 10 Burnley - Draw Nov 25 Cardiff - Draw Dec 1 Southampton - Lose Dec 8 WBA - Lose Dec 25 Ipswich - Draw Dec 29 Charlton - Lose = Nil Wins Looks like a was pretty accurate.....
davieG Posted 26 December 2007 Author Posted 26 December 2007 Wow 4 homes Ian Holloway has challenged his side to make it back-to-back home victories this weekend after watching them secure a conclusive 2-0 win over Ipswich Town on Wednesday afternoon. You have to look back to August 2006 to find the last time a City side registered successive home league victories - then manager Rob Kelly steering the Foxes to wins over Ipswich and Southend. And speaking in his post-match press conference, Holloway confirmed that he would now be looking for his men to banish that statistic when they take on the Addicks this weekend. He said: "I saw a magnificent response from my side against Ipswich today. That victory means that we have gathered four points from a possible six and now we need to win two home matches in a row to continue this run. That is something that this club has not done for a very long time. "I felt that was more like what we want today. We did great from set pieces and we looked dangerous in open play. We took the game to them. "We have had a bit of rain and the pitch wasn't the best - but my goodness didn't we get about them. That's what it is all about. "I know what we have got now. They know where they stand with me and let's see what I can add in the window as well. "Ipswich haven't won away from home all season and you sometimes need the right game at the right time. "If you look at my midfield at the moment then you will see that I have got two defenders and an attacker in there. You haven't got to be a genius to work out that we need some proper midfield players and wide men coming in to help us. "I have got to grab this place by the throat, shack it and smack it on the floor to see what drops off. Then I have got to try and add to it."
Monk Posted 26 December 2007 Posted 26 December 2007 Ha I was sat at the game wondering how long it would be until someone dragged this out this evening. 4 home wins. Hardly something to shout about is it. Unless you're shouting about 2007 being an utter bollocks year for LCFC
Ultra Posted 26 December 2007 Posted 26 December 2007 We have had NINE away wins though! (in all competitions)
davieG Posted 27 December 2007 Author Posted 27 December 2007 No reason we shouldn't beat Charlton. No reason we should!
