Head Honcho Posted 27 August 2007 Author Posted 27 August 2007 London, Liverpool, ? The last time Everton qualified for Europe all English teams were banned
Finnegan Posted 27 August 2007 Posted 27 August 2007 London, Glasgow and Manchester was correct. London is obvious, as is Glasgow (Rangers have won the CWC, Celtic the CL) and Manchester City have won the CWC in 1970. You never specified just Champions League. Oh, and if you're including the UEFA cup as well, then does Wolverhampton qualify as Brum? Cos Villa have done the CWC and Wolves have been to a UEFA final I think?

Its still the only time two English clubs have met in a final of a European competition

So in that respect Manchester is wrong but London and Glasgow are correct So one to go! .................and Wolverhampton is about as near to Birmingham as Leicester is to Nottingham so no I don't think that counts:unsure:
Finnegan Posted 28 August 2007 Posted 28 August 2007 .................and Wolverhampton is about as near to Birmingham as Leicester is to Nottingham so no I don't think that counts:unsure: Meeh, it's all just vaguely "over there" sort of West-midlands filth. I can't be expected to define the difference.
milkybarkid Posted 28 August 2007 Posted 28 August 2007 I thought Everton reached the cup winneres cup semi final in 95-96 ?
BartonFox Posted 28 August 2007 Posted 28 August 2007 London, Glasgow and Dundee. Only a very dodgy ref, similar to the one that cheated Forest against Anderlecht, stopped Dundee United meeting Liverpool in Rome in 1984.
Head Honcho Posted 28 August 2007 Author Posted 28 August 2007 Leeds in 2001 What other team plays in Leeds?
Blue Bob Posted 28 August 2007 Posted 28 August 2007 What other team plays in Leeds? You seem to imply that Leeds play football - does third division still count???
Lord Nibblington Posted 28 August 2007 Posted 28 August 2007 What other team plays in Leeds? Farsley Celtic, I think. Of course, I don't really remember them making the semi finals of the European Cup, but I could be wrong.
Guest seanfox778 Posted 30 August 2007 Posted 30 August 2007 What other team plays in Leeds? Sorry wasn't paying attention i get it now but do not know the answer
Charnwood Norris Posted 30 August 2007 Posted 30 August 2007 London, Glasgow and Dundee. I agree. "Dundee" in 1963 v AC Milan, and then "Dundee United" in 1984 v Roma.
