DB11 Posted 17 August 2008 Posted 17 August 2008 Just edited the whole database with this summers transfers, took me over an hour!Was worth it though i was getting bored of the january update, this has rekindled my love for the game. Tottenham are brillaiant with modric, dos santos and betley etc. I'm pretty sure you still won't have half the updated info. on the downloadable updates. Such as last years League winners etc.

morris1234 Posted 17 August 2008 Posted 17 August 2008 still in first season with palace, greg thil gets injured for about a month and for some reason i go on a 8 mtach crap play and no win run. i got 2 points from a possible 24 and those 2 draws were against reading who are tp and charlton who are 3rd, i lost to all 3 teams in the relegation zones at the min and it took the piss, but now thil's back i just beat blackpool 5-2 away with thil getting a brace, im hoping i dont actually go up because i have no chance with this team, i signed a whole new defence in january and they are still crap i need a new gk as speroni and flinders are crap, cant get one on loan and flipping 3 million pound signing cameron jerome has scored 3 in 9!! not the return i wanted and not the form he showed while on trial! to make it worse simon jordan then accepts a 1.9 mill bid for super scannell and a 2.9 mill bid for my best player tom soares , so im rather peeved at the mo, and now everybodys is trying to steal moses (eventhough ive hardly played him, he does look class!!!) im getting really annoyed with it, i havent got a bad squad, im still in 6th position with all this moaning but for the money ive spent, which is around 9.4 mill plus high wages! im going to try and get a respectful finish and try not to get sacked i really dont want promotion as the board will only give me bugger all to spend and none of my players are that valuable (although thil was a bargain, got him for 600k now worth 1.6mill !) hopefully, i can get around 3-5 mill by tight simon jordan and bring in a top keeper, a left mid, a striker as back up, and a beast of a centre mid! what i job ive got to do! need to have a clearout aswell!

dandannieldanok Posted 19 August 2008 Posted 19 August 2008 Just finished my first season with Leicester on the new summer update and unsurprisingly won the League One title (thanks to Paul Hayes's last minute equalizer for Scunny against Colchester ). Bought Daryl Murphy for £350k at the start of the season and along with Howard we were unstoppable in attack, Murphy with 38 goals and Howard with 34. Got Amr Zaki coming in the summer for £2m aswell.

Also in the quarter finals of the FA Cup, at home to Championship Southampton. Got Wolves at home, Southampton away, Southend at home, Plymouth away, Watford away and finish at home to Leicester...hopefully can get promoted at about the 4th attempt. Lots of injuries though, rock CB Larrys Mabiala and RM Leam Finnegan the main ones. Alex Revell is firing me up to the top flight, now valued at £23.3m. Also, Wojciech Szczesny, 23 on my game, former Arsenal youth player, is the best goalkeeper I've ever had. So excited about these last games.
