FilboFox Posted 3 September 2008 Author Posted 3 September 2008 FA Premier Premier League Football Manager 2000 is the current game for me. Hamilton Ricard and Emile Heskey are a beastly strike pairing Is that the one on the Playstation that has some funky bongo music playing during non-match time, no sound unless you go to view the match and otherwise just flashes up the goals? If so, it was the start of my football manager game loves! WHAT a game... Football Manager sometimes really isn't as good as that... wish I still had it.

FilboFox Posted 3 September 2008 Author Posted 3 September 2008 It's now Premier Manager 99 Premier Manager 2000... that's the one... WHAT a game! Got that in 2000 and my god... was up all night every night and all day during the day... school work and daily life business was a complete waste of valuable time compared to that!
Ross-Kemp Posted 4 September 2008 Posted 4 September 2008 Premier manager 98 when you could sell Alan Shearer for £40mill
lildave3 Posted 4 September 2008 Posted 4 September 2008 Well I guess i'm the first to jump on the Man City bandwagon Emile Heskey is banging them in for me since his deadline day move. Stunning. Edit - Just won 2 games in a row by scoring a last minute goal to make it 4-3
David O'Leary Posted 6 September 2008 Posted 6 September 2008 Premier Manager 2000... that's the one... Legend.
Uncle Albert Posted 6 September 2008 Posted 6 September 2008 I played LMA Manager this morning for the first time in ages on PS2, LMA Manager 2003.

Permier Manager 2009 Bad reviews though
lildave3 Posted 6 September 2008 Posted 6 September 2008 I played LMA Manager this morning for the first time in ages on PS2, LMA Manager 2003. Legendary game, spent hours on it. I won the league about 8 years in a row with Leicester and had Zamora and Rooney up front! Such an easy game, but a brilliant one.

The 3D match is absolutely hilarious, so many sitters missed (and Arnar Gunnlaugsson is a black man on it) and the fast view where the goals just flash up without warning keeps you on the edge of your seat. The obvious bugs on the game make it quite funny too, some teams just refuse to buy players and some just refuse to buy goalkeepers (Arsenal now down to just 14 players and Leeds are averaging a scoreline of 4-4 every game with their superb strikeforce and player in goal on my Leicester season). I'm back in love with this game, thrilled that it re-installed on this XP.

I used to spend hours designing a Filbert Street.
Fez of Mahrez Posted 6 September 2008 Posted 6 September 2008 Haha yes! I think it was in LMA 2001 I had Ebbe Sand and Mario Jardel up front for Leicester and they scored about 50 goals a season each. Fantastic game. I used to spend hours designing a Filbert Street. Me too. I never liked the actual game, just used to do the cheat and make Filbert Street into a gigantic fortress that held about 105,000. On FM08 I am Kettering - Leicester are my parent club and I've got season-long loans... Morrison, King, Odhiambo and... Gradel. Bring it.
Joe. Posted 6 September 2008 Posted 6 September 2008 Andy King always seems to turn immense in the second or third season for me.
lildave3 Posted 6 September 2008 Posted 6 September 2008 I'll try now, but it won't work. Oh my good god. It has. Slows my computer down like a beast though.
dandannieldanok Posted 6 September 2008 Posted 6 September 2008 Oh my good god. It has.Slows my computer down like a beast though. Yes I've found that, unlike with Football Manager 08 you can't really do anything else at the same time, still worth the bother, especially considering you can whip through seasons quickly if you want.

I'm back in love with this game, thrilled that it re-installed on this XP. YES! That's the one! Was an absolute classic... FM is yet to compete with that and the Goal Flashes were horrid... I always did that as there was a problem that crashed my PS when I watched the game so I could only watch the Flashes which, as you say, keeps you on the edge of your seat... I used to be brought to tears when things went wrong on that game... especially when they scored just as the Goal Flash was ending and it was fading out to the results page!
