Bert Posted 13 September 2007 Posted 13 September 2007 Does anyone else on here play for a pool team? Just wondering like, because it's not ever really been discussed on here. My team has just won the summer league in the Everards and Thursday I.P.L.

Tevez Posted 13 September 2007 Posted 13 September 2007 I have to wait in age until i can play for a pool team, but i have had a offer from a team that is mileage and it's on sunday nights. Bert, if you want a beating, give me a pm.
Bryn Posted 13 September 2007 Posted 13 September 2007 I've started playing Pool a bit recently down at Riley's, great fun... I'm starting developing advanced thought about it, starting to think about where the ball is going to finish rather than just worrying about the ball I'm potting.

Guest Posted 14 September 2007 Posted 14 September 2007 Who's he play for Lease? He used to play for The Plough (Birstall), has had a bit of a break and is now playing for Rack and Roll, I believe. I want him to give me a few lessons.
hairy Posted 14 September 2007 Posted 14 September 2007 I got a pool table last Christmas. Nine months on and still crap.
SOCCERROO FOX Posted 14 September 2007 Posted 14 September 2007 Had a pool table at home for the last 6 years, Me and my brother played 10 games a day for the first 2 years and we kept a tally every game, that is now framed in our pool/bar room i won 756 games to 632.
Stuliasz Posted 14 September 2007 Posted 14 September 2007 Used to play a lot, not so much any more. And it has to be English pool (the red and yellow balls), none of this American rubbish with the wide pockets.

Guest Posted 14 September 2007 Posted 14 September 2007 Rack And Roll?? We played thema few seasons back, not a bad side to be fair. Cool! I have said that I may go and watch at some point.
DB11 Posted 14 September 2007 Posted 14 September 2007 My dad used to play and I think he was very good. He also used to play skittles or something where you have cheeses
Bert Posted 14 September 2007 Author Posted 14 September 2007 My dad used to play and I think he was very good.He also used to play skittles or something where you have cheeses Yes that's correct. You throw Stilton first, then Red Leicester and the final cheese you throw is Edam.

David O'Leary Posted 16 September 2007 Posted 16 September 2007 I play at Rileys to a decent standard. Well I think so anyway
Geo V Posted 16 September 2007 Posted 16 September 2007 I spent most of my misspent youth in snooker halls and once played the great Eddie Charlton at 9 ball pool when my local club decided to have a big event on the day that they installed about 6 tables. What an event it was I hardly play snooker or pool these days to be honest but they are great and relatively cheap games, especially when you are playing in a club and not paying per game like those thieving coin operated machines. Ive got two Ronnie O`Sullivan cues to sell if anyone is interested. Unfortunately they weren't his but were £40 purchases from JJB Sports about 4 years ago
