Lovejoy Posted 22 September 2007 Posted 22 September 2007 Showed today what a crowd should do. The entire ground joined in the atmosphere was class. Unlike our prawn-sandwich fans who just won't sing.
Guest Posted 22 September 2007 Posted 22 September 2007 Gotta agree. That was the first time I've been to Charlton and there was a great atmos from their fans.
Basingstoke Fox Posted 22 September 2007 Posted 22 September 2007 Gotta agree. That was the first time I've been to Charlton and there was a great atmos from their fans. Are you serious!!!!!!! they were 2-0 up and they only sang when they got corners. If thats better than our ans then i am truly truly ashamed right now
BedsFox Posted 22 September 2007 Posted 22 September 2007 Very nice ground these days though, much transformed
Guest Posted 22 September 2007 Posted 22 September 2007 Weren't agreeing that it's better than our fans, what I was saying was that I thought they had a good atmos round all parts of the ground.

What I was saying too. Home fans will never sing all game. But they were better than our fans...
FleckneyFox Posted 22 September 2007 Posted 22 September 2007 i would love it if we could generate that at the walkers but to many fans are just older people who never join in i try to chant but i feel like a bit of a numpty because no one near me does the guy that sits next to me cant be bothered to get off his seat when we score he just sat there folding his arms and he isnt particularly old. i sit near the half way line in J2 but i'd love to sit in K1 thers quite a good atmosphere over there + seats are ok.
Lovejoy Posted 22 September 2007 Author Posted 22 September 2007 Why thank you No problem. Was very impressed with your fans and team today. As for us...
Lamby Posted 22 September 2007 Posted 22 September 2007 No problem. Was very impressed with your fans and team today. As for us... We usually sing alot more when we are playing better
Trumpet Posted 22 September 2007 Posted 22 September 2007 Well done lads, contender for "most sarcastic thread of the year" award. Whats that?! Its not a joke? I came in this thread expecting to hear how the Charlton fans were shit! They didn't sing at all, apart from one or two songs after a goal and corners. We amde more noise than them most of the game, "we" meaning us on the right and not the majority who sat and wouldn't join in with anything (fair enough to the ones that did try..).
Nath Posted 22 September 2007 Posted 22 September 2007 They just claped along to a drum and then shouted Charlton... Brilliant i must say
Trumpet Posted 22 September 2007 Posted 22 September 2007 The brass band came out at about 89 minutes, when they all must of woken up. The PA blokes in the wrong job, far too enthusiastic for the Charlton fans.

No-one else did though. Can we ban people who don't support the team in a vocal way? Or at least ban prawn sandwiches?
lcfc_thefoxes Posted 22 September 2007 Posted 22 September 2007 They were terrible!!! didnt sing at all even when they were 2 - 0 up, worse than us imo
Matt Posted 22 September 2007 Posted 22 September 2007 Didn't think they were that good, were not ones to judge, and when they had there 2 minute spells they were good I spose but nothing special. Did envy them at the end when one of there players kept jumping out of the tunnel though, i.e. one of the players having a special relationship with the fans, and celebrating with them. Our players (Barr Clemo, and 1 other player not sure who it was I had my back to them) didn't even clap us, Cheers lads!
martyn Posted 22 September 2007 Posted 22 September 2007 Clemence, Kishishev and Stearman (belatedly) were the only players to applaud the fans.
Monk Posted 22 September 2007 Posted 22 September 2007 The Charlton fans were really loud today - didnt stop singing until abou 25 mins in. Our fans were really poor, though we didnt have much to sing about - we were shocking today
Micky Ruddle Posted 22 September 2007 Posted 22 September 2007 They was as loud as. I thought Charlton would be a boring place , but i was wrong. THeir fans was buzzing, and got behind the players.
syston_fox Posted 22 September 2007 Posted 22 September 2007 Did envy them at the end when one of there players kept jumping out of the tunnel though, i.e. one of the players having a special relationship with the fans, and celebrating with them. Yeah I was a bit jealous by that too. Think it was Chris Powell who kept jumping out when the fans called his name.
lcfc_jme Posted 22 September 2007 Posted 22 September 2007 Their only song appeared to be "Red Army", but like, when they sung it (at corners only) it was fairly loud seeing as all of their fans joined in. I wouldn't go as far as praising their fans though 'cos they were, for the majority of the game, almost non-existent. Oh, and what the fork is with our fans in general tofay?? Quiet as. Turning up in bastard Tigers jerseys and some even turning up in fooking Leeds shirts!? Absolutely ridiculous. Yes, yes I am completely disgusted by this trip as a whole today. Though it was nice to meet a few of the FoxesTalkers again, if only briefly.
Tommeh Posted 22 September 2007 Posted 22 September 2007 Showed today what a crowd should do. The entire ground joined in the atmosphere was class. Unlike our prawn-sandwich fans who just won't sing. Tell me your joking!?! Silent for 84 minutes of the 90 despite totally dominating us and having a lot to sing about, incredible. If thats support and atmosphere at a football ground then maybe we should all go and follow badminton.
Peacefulred Posted 22 September 2007 Posted 22 September 2007 They was as loud as. I thought Charlton would be a boring place , but i was wrong. THeir fans was buzzing, and got behind the players. No offence to you guys but i think you have bigger problems to worry about than arguing how good/rubbish the Charlton fans were
lcfc_jme Posted 22 September 2007 Posted 22 September 2007 No offence to you guys but i think you have bigger problems to worry about than arguing how good/rubbish the Charlton fans were Because all is well and good down at Forest now you've won a game in the league and gone up to midtable? Sure, we've got problems but we're in the Championship and this is like your third season in League One. I'd worry about the problems at your club and getting them solved before you come on here and tell us we've got problems. I know you're a decent bloke from the way you've posted on here previously, but I'm not in a good mood tonight and it appears as though you're gloating.
