Burrows and Taggert are doing a superb job currantly but we shouod be looking for a new manager, preferably somebody with fire in his belly and a wanting for us to be contenders for the championship play-offs and playing our best football in years!!

I absolutely love the Frankster. His 'tache and hat combo are the forking sex.

Suuuuuuuper, Super Frank, Suuuuper, Super Frank, Suuuper, Super Frank, Super Frankie Burrows.

I think the idea of appointing burrows as manager after the past two games is ridiculous.

However the thought of the 'tache and flat cap combination is swaying me big time.

Imagine that every week.

Just imagine...

Many don't like him at all "just because of a couple of good results"... but to be honest, he's growing on me as time goes by...

1. He can motivate the players.

2. He won't take any shit from the players.

3. Seems to have a very good eye for players from his time at West Brom.

4. He's getting results so far... will need more time to see if we should appoint him though...

He could be another Rob Kelly but lets face it, he certainly has more control over the team than Kelly EVER did!

He's not "another" Rob Kelly because we're not appointing an inexperienced coach as manager after a string of bad results. The comparison is entirely fatuous. Burrows is experienced, seemingly a good motivator, and is getting decent results after a string of mediocre ones. We also look more like scoring, which can only be a good thing.

We need to see at least 2 or 3 more games before we make a judgement, really. Beating Colchester at their place would be a very good start.

Well I heard Burrows on the radio the other day saying that beating Barnsley would only be a good result if we win today... and I think that THAT has to be one of the wisest comments by a City manager since O'neill. At the very least, MM should interview him!

Has anyone got any reasons why these two shouldn't be given the job on a permanent basis?

- Burrows: to me the man just speaks sense, yeh he has an odd joke to crack, but, he talks football, the other night at Preston rubbish first half, he felt the same, we all know he bollocked the players at half time and they responded, oryt we didn't win but he got something out of them! I like him and wouldn't mind him being given the permanent position.

Taggs: What's there not to like about him, LOVE HIM TO BITS! passion, desire, commitment, forget Megson, i'm 100% sure he has made our defence THE MOST SUCCESSFUL DEFENCE IN THE CHAMPIONSHIP!

Mystery man: I would add someone to these two, maybe someone experienced or even Stevie Walsh, I think a third man could make a difference at 'The Walkers', maybe not, but, it's worth a go.

Finally, if I was Milan and I made my mind up on Burrows and Taggs to be permanent, I wouldn't write out a two and a 1/2 year deal, make it till the end of next season, give them January to try and sort this season out, and if that don't work, give them a summer at Leicester, and then take it from there.

Personally I don't feel like anyone has enough passion to come and do a job at Leicester, Steve Walsh yeh maybe, but these two hav proved they can do well, will soon find out Milan's decision anyway.

I can't disagree really because if he does appoint someone else I just know it'll be someone I despise (Reid  )...in the words of that little Australian diva...... "better the devil you know"

When did he terminate his contract with the BBC, as the other half of The Chuckle Brothers? Reckon he's a better football manager than he is a comedian.

I seriously hope this guy does not get the job. I don't dislike the man but from just a few league games you can quite clearly see we will, and alreadly are, stagnating. He seems to lack tactical awareness (5-2-3 with right-backs in midfield) and despite picking up reasonable away points, the teams we played were there for the taking and should have been beaten.

Did he have any choice re midfield / 5-3-2? with the current squad/injuries/lack of fit reserves :dunno:

...and it didn't happen.

I think we need a clean break from the M****n era. Burrows and Taggs are sound blokes and talk a good game, but they don't have the management skills needed to take us to the top flight, let alone keep us there.

The last two games have already exposed their limitations, and that should be enough for Mandaric to rule them out of contention.

The question we need to ask: Is it wrong to appoint someone because they have a fooking nice 'tache?

No it isn't. He has a fooking good cap as well. Together they're a deadly combination. And an unbeaten league combination as well.:ph34r:
