davieG Posted 8 October 2007 Posted 8 October 2007 We'd need enough people to cough up £1500 between them, you'd get a ticket for a game in the South Stand in exchange and go into a draw with a chance to get Foxestalk sponsoring the stand . Plus two lucky ones get to go to a Gala dinner. Could it be done? PS Forgot the VAT From OS WIN THE CHANCE TO SPONSOR THE SOUTH STAND! Once in a lifetime opportunity! How do you fancy the chance of sponsoring the South Stand at the Walkers Stadium for just £1,500 + vat? Leicester City Football Club are offering companies and individuals the opportunity to enter a Grand Prize Draw to win the exclusive naming rights to the Kop end of the ground - worth £75,000. As well as entry into the draw each entrant will receive 75 match tickets for company employees or individuals to attend a forthcoming home Championship fixture - which in itself is worth in excess of £1,500. The draw will take place at a Gala Dinner to be held at Fusions Restaurant - with each entrant also receiving two tickets to the prestigious event. The winner on the night will also receive extensive coverage in the Leicester Mercury, Matchday Magazine and on the Club's website. Brand advertising opportunities throughout the stand to the value of £15,000 will also be paid for by Leicester City Football Club. The South Stand is home to 7,055 Leicester City supporters, and gains excellent TV exposure. The branding will be unveiled at the live SKY TV match against Cardiff City on Monday, November 26. So for such a small outlay this opportunity could really turn your business around. Email your details, including contact telephone number to [email protected] for further details.

syston_fox Posted 8 October 2007 Posted 8 October 2007 To be honest if the birch can only raise £25k for his end of season run, I don't think we could pull this one off.
lcfc_jme Posted 8 October 2007 Posted 8 October 2007 I think we should go for it. If anybody is collecting all the donations, it should be davieG. He's a reliable bloke.
davieG Posted 8 October 2007 Author Posted 8 October 2007 You need 1500+Vat = 1762. The offer includes 75 tickets in the Kop to see a game so, 1762/75= 23.50. If you can get 75 people to cough up £23.50 to enter you get 75 free tickets for a game plus 2 of the 75 get to go to a Gala dinner. To break even you need 75 adult non season ticket holders.

AoWW Posted 8 October 2007 Posted 8 October 2007 Ask around at Chelsea. Grrrrrr... (I'm in that catagory!) :mad2: The Foxestalk Stand, though. Good idea - me likes!
WetFlannel Posted 8 October 2007 Posted 8 October 2007 personally, i think we will get mocked for having a stand named after a forum
Lillehamring Posted 8 October 2007 Posted 8 October 2007 personally, i think we will get mocked for having a stand named after a forum more or less than for having a stadium named after a potato snack... um, just a suggestion but shouldn't any fund raising be prioritised to paying for a forum that doesn't crash when more than 10 people post on it at once...

Honestly some people are so ungrateful. To be fair this is one of those ideas that'll get about 10 people saying "Yeah, let's do it" before the realisation sets in that it will require a marginal degree of effort and organisation at which point silence ensues and the thread dies a slow yet painless death. Happy to be proved wrong.
MPH Posted 8 October 2007 Posted 8 October 2007 personally, i think we will get mocked for having a stand named after a forum in contrast, we are getting lots of slaps on our backs and congratulations for having 'topps tiles' as our main sponsor?

Happy to be proved wrong. yuh-huh... that's kinda my point, i know it's a bit of a laugh, but its sad that at least some of those thinking (nor necessarily those posting in this thread) that this is a great idea, haven't stepped up to help with the running costs of this site. (not that i have either, but equally i'm not silly enough to throw money at the club for some dumb competition. and i've only been here a few months...)
Joe. Posted 8 October 2007 Posted 8 October 2007 It's a good idea and everything but it would take a lot of organisation and you'd have to a) get enough people and b) rely on these people to actually cough up.
Floating Fox Posted 8 October 2007 Posted 8 October 2007 The Foxestalk Kop  Get me a doctor, im in stiches.
Cheese Me Posted 8 October 2007 Posted 8 October 2007 I'd definitely cough up. As long as someone else did the work and I got a ticket to a game I', more than happy to take part. £23.50 is pretty much a match ticket anyway and I'd love to see the Foxestalk stand

Ultra Posted 8 October 2007 Posted 8 October 2007 Given the lack of interest last season when I suggested sponsoring a player, I'm not convinced this idea would fly. But if it does, I'll put £100 in..
Geo V Posted 9 October 2007 Posted 9 October 2007 If Ive understood it correctly it wont actually cost us anything, unless of course you are season ticket holders and don't need to buy a ticket! The chances of us getting drawn out of the hat are slim to say the least and I'm not convinced that this type of forum can gain too many more members who are actively involved as most people with a PC who support the club and want to know stuff would find us or the other one wouldn't they? I`s probably rather convince 100 people to put in 20 and buy a greyhound and name it after foxestalk and turn up for a jolly up once every couple of months as we watch it run around a track than do something that has minimal chance of actually getting the name on the forum of a stand.
Kent Fox Posted 9 October 2007 Posted 9 October 2007 I think it's a really cool idea. One I'd consider going into if I had £23.50 to spare. If it goes ahead, who'd go to the Gala dinner?? davieG would have to be in with a shout for posting this in the first place. Thracian, who is (I am guessing) the more elderly of FoxesTalkers. Or there was the guy recently who lost his dad suddenly - a fitting tribute perhaps?? Competition would be fierce, I feel. Raj perhaps - just for being a self confessed tw@t? We'd need a poll. If anyone wants to lend me the ££, I'm in. You will get it back but it might be sometime... Unless I can use some of Ultra's...
