Geo V Posted 12 October 2007 Posted 12 October 2007 We sell more units of SNES`s, Megadrives, C64s and Amiga`s than we do PS3`s at the moment. The Retro market is really busy and people are still mad for the old consoles but its not usually at the expense of a PS2/XBOX360, its usually one they have on the side to switch on when the amazing graphic games start winding them up and they want to crack out Super Mario on SNES or something! Embarrassingly I have a C64 emulator on my PC and in-between my gambling and this forum, I usually have some old management game running in the background.

Manwell Pablo Posted 13 October 2007 Posted 13 October 2007 Watch the Wii video... plays sooo differently! Bah, if you think it will be better than with a controller then your living in cloud cookoo land. It's just IGN talking shit as usual.
Phube Posted 13 October 2007 Author Posted 13 October 2007 GamesRadar: Nintendo's Wiimote-driven motion controls offer plenty of potential, if a developer is willing to explore the idea. Which is why this video, while showing the same game we all know and love in PES 2008, illustrates an experience you've never had from any football game before.Wii PES plays like a real time strategy game, a football RTS. That's because you can now exercise a dizzying level of control enabling you to launch any player on a pitch-spanning run, pull onrushing offensive players into deadball situations, use the 'free run' feature to unlock space on the pitch and string together passing moves that make Arsenal look amateur. It all looks pretty confusing, it has to be said. But, with on screen icons and PES's traditional flowing action, we're confident that once you've grasped the concept everything will fall into place. In fact, the amazing possibilities might even ruin every other version of Konami's beautiful game...
Manwell Pablo Posted 13 October 2007 Posted 13 October 2007 GamesRadar: Possabilties, might, it'll be crap trust me.
Phube Posted 13 October 2007 Author Posted 13 October 2007 Possabilties, might, it'll be crap trust me. Well as the game isn't out until Spring 2008... of course it could go either way.. but admit if it did work, it'd wipe the floor with any football game out there!
Phube Posted 13 October 2007 Author Posted 13 October 2007 <_< Hmmmmmmmmmmm.... That's unfair use of moderating powers!!!

Daggers Posted 13 October 2007 Posted 13 October 2007 I love these trips down memory lane(especialy as im losing mine!!!!)This was THE original one-- I've got one of them too but it isn't playing the game...the picture on the screen is all messed up.

Its not where I work mate but I co-own a business that buys and sells anything remotely resembling a console and whilst PS3`s will always be bought along with the more popular Wii`s, Xbox360 and PS2`s, gamers seem to also want one or two of the older consoles. Obviously the fact that PSP`s, Wii`s and PS3s can now be chipped to play all the older stuff is a fair sign that people do love the old stuff!
