jerakin Posted 20 October 2007 Posted 20 October 2007 Refused to talk after match. HE'S GONE! I for one will miss him!
JoeyB Posted 20 October 2007 Posted 20 October 2007 Because he refused to talk dosent mean he has gone! SAF dosent talk to the bbc, MEgson probably didn't talk because he might get himself in trouble with the fa , by using derogatory comments about the ref...
Thracian Posted 20 October 2007 Posted 20 October 2007 Perhaps we'll have some football now. Yes we should have won. Yes we were organised. Yes the defence was excellent. But at what cost? That wasn't footbal a la Leicester City. That was a turgid excuse. We have sacrificed so much to make our defence watertight that our attackers are like lost souls in the desert. That said Fryatt should have buried his chance from a clear situation one v one against the goalkeeper. You cannot win football matches without scoring goals. Sorry, I forgot. We did score but the referee linesman cocked up. So how does Sheehan stand with his assist? Damn all wrong with the move. Should have been a goal. Does he get an assist or not?
Wooly Posted 20 October 2007 Posted 20 October 2007 He probably refused to talk because he would have got himself banned for swearing about the ref a) giving the worst red card I've ever seen and b) disallowing a goal which wasn't even close to being offside.
Ozwin Posted 20 October 2007 Posted 20 October 2007 Or he didn't want to be faced with 'Do you want to join Bolton' comments rather than questions about the actual game.

Drivel. In a parallel universe Kisnorbo's clearly onside goal counted and Fryatt wasn't a pathetic waste of space, we've won 2-0 away from home again, kept another clean sheet with 10 men and are just outside the playoff places.
martyn Posted 20 October 2007 Posted 20 October 2007 The same parallel universe where Sheehan can claim an assist?
Master Fox Posted 20 October 2007 Posted 20 October 2007 Who knows? I think he's probably upset we didn't win that game due to awful decisions made agaisnt us.
martyn Posted 20 October 2007 Posted 20 October 2007 Yes he was, he's nothing but a cultured left peg, sadly.
Simon Posted 20 October 2007 Posted 20 October 2007 Sheehan was awful. Thank God someone else noticed. A sweet left peg does not make up for a lack of positional awareness or crap defending ability Thrac. Nowhere near as good as Mattock IMO.
Mark Posted 20 October 2007 Posted 20 October 2007 THREAD TITLE "MEGSON GONE!" Got it? [/end of Sheehan discussion]

You're absolutely right. I'm so wound up about those arseholes they called officials. And I forgot. Winning IS all that matters. I didn't go. Didn't waste any money watching what was an excuse for football. So why should I care how we went about trying to collect the points?
Brainy Posted 20 October 2007 Posted 20 October 2007 Because he refused to talk dosent mean he has gone! Make your mind up Joe. You just said in the post-match thread that this might mean he's gone.

Ajax Treesdown Posted 20 October 2007 Posted 20 October 2007 I reckon this time next week Gary Megson will be Bolton Wanderers manager. Peter Taylor anyone????
lee7 Posted 20 October 2007 Posted 20 October 2007 i don't think he'll be here for much longer either.
Mr Happy Posted 20 October 2007 Posted 20 October 2007 Well look on the bright side everybody, at least if ginger mourinho goes... ...it paves the wave for the real mourinho to join us
FilboFox Posted 20 October 2007 Posted 20 October 2007 Robbed... absolutely fooking robbed! Those scunny bastards should be ashamed of themselves... getting a point from nothing!!! Fooking ref's a joke!!!
FilboFox Posted 20 October 2007 Posted 20 October 2007 I reckon this time next week Gary Megson will be Bolton Wanderers manager. Peter Taylor anyone???? If he comes... I'll shoot him myself!!!
Blue Fox Posted 20 October 2007 Posted 20 October 2007 Well he looked very happy and relaxed in the dug out (obviously wasn't watching the game) and seem totally unconcerned that Hume had been sent off, a good goal had been disallowed, a totally crap effort from Fryatt and an excruciatingly boring game to boot.
Daz.I Posted 20 October 2007 Posted 20 October 2007 Thank God someone else noticed.A sweet left peg does not make up for a lack of positional awareness or crap defending ability Thrac. Nowhere near as good as Mattock IMO. Best thing I've heard all day he literally has a left foot

Very true, he was laughing with the ref over the disallowed goal, when any normal manager would be slightly irate!!!!! Very bizarre.
Lillehamring Posted 20 October 2007 Posted 20 October 2007 yeah, of course it'll be great if he goes cause the players really need a massive upheaval, a total change of direction, motivation, tactics... so, megson puts out a defensive focused team, and we're edging up the league, i'm happy with that for now, lets just let the ship settle and hope for just a little stability, if only for the sake of the players...
