Alexikokopops Posted 25 October 2007 Posted 25 October 2007 Why the fook isn't Gary Mabbutt Mayfair? Ridiculous.
Boycie Posted 25 October 2007 Posted 25 October 2007 Anyone watching the game, was good when the whole ground stood up sining "Stand up for Martin Jol" brought back great memories of The Kop standing up singing "Megson for Bolton"

dandannieldanok Posted 25 October 2007 Author Posted 25 October 2007 Who would have thought this thread would have become relevant a few hours ago. I could claim that when I started it I knew this would happen but it would be a bare faced lie.

Flynny Posted 25 October 2007 Posted 25 October 2007 Very harsh and a bit silly when the rumours first started flying about, but him going doesn't seem quite so ludicrous after another couple of months.
Joe. Posted 25 October 2007 Posted 25 October 2007 :pinch: Harsh. He did pretty well for Spurs, guiding them to their two best ever Premiership finishes. Although to be fair, he did have the money at his disposal.
Scow Posted 25 October 2007 Posted 25 October 2007 I feel a little sorry for him. He's had a few injury problems, and although it shouldn't really be used as an excuse, it certainly has had an impact. Once a team gets in a rut like they have, it's very difficult to get out of - the players, fans and manager all get frustrated and that transpires to hinder the team. Sometimes a change is needed in those circumstances to alleviate that, although I feel Jol is an excellent manager and will probably go on to do a good job elsewhere.

Seriously he has always come across as an honest guy and never got into any slagging off type games. Hope he does well, where ever he goes.
Scow Posted 25 October 2007 Posted 25 October 2007 You mean at leicester??? I supposed he would be a half decent choice.
