That is both as a defender, where he is a great presence but defending is in the mind, and as a distributor. Gardsoe looks like a much better player to me and I wouldn't mind seeing him at the city next season. My personal choice of centre back would be Darren kenton from Southampton, Redknapp doesn't seem to rate him and he was superb whilst at norwich. I'm one step ahead of the game.
