The People says Megson, whose name is dirt at Leicester City for walking out after just nine games in charge, is a fan of the 22-year-old Dutch striker. He took him to Leicester on loan from Fulham. John has scored twice in four games and Megson is set to offer him another chance in the Premier League.

John is nowhere near a better option for Anelka, Diouf or Davies, especially based on what I saw on Saturday from him. Though if rumours and the like are to be believed, Anelka is hitting the road in January anyway. As for this lowest crowd thing, isn't that the last two home games in a row they've set a new low-crowd record? Villa was their lowest, and then 'Boro was even lower! Brilliant! Oh and for the record, we'd have been reet wi Meggo.

The 'Boro game was (unsurprisingly... it is fooking Boro after all, and they're a right fooking shower at the best of times) their lowest ever attendance in the Premier League. Before long, they could soon see their lowest ever league attendance at home... Megson's a real fan favourite.
