Micky Ruddle Posted 17 November 2007 Posted 17 November 2007 Is Darts even a sport? Pub sport Andy Fordham - Wooooooooah! Was 26 stone, now 16 stone!!! Beer for the Viking!

Tevez Posted 17 November 2007 Posted 17 November 2007 There are only two vikings in my life, Andy Forham and Micky Ruddle with his viking hat on at an away day.
Nath Posted 17 November 2007 Author Posted 17 November 2007 There are only two vikings in my life, Andy Forham and Micky Ruddle with his viking hat on at an away day. What about Nil's Eric? He was the main influence you knoooow.
Jay Posted 17 November 2007 Posted 17 November 2007 it seems to be taking over the world from what I can see on 2 different channels this afternoon!!
Leicester Lass Posted 17 November 2007 Posted 17 November 2007 I love the use of grammar in this thread.
Joe. Posted 17 November 2007 Posted 17 November 2007 I wouldn't call darts a sport to be honest, it's more of a game. I'd just like to note I do actually like it
purpleronnie Posted 17 November 2007 Posted 17 November 2007 Andy Fordham looks a bit freaky now, like a weeble wobble. And that prat Bobby George gets on my nerves.
Ashley Posted 17 November 2007 Posted 17 November 2007 I'd love to go to the circus tavern and see darts live.
Floating Fox Posted 18 November 2007 Posted 18 November 2007 I think its some over-rated codswallop. It's hardly over-rated. That statment is utter bollocks! I prefer the PDA & their Premier League.
ASH17LCFC Posted 18 November 2007 Posted 18 November 2007 It's hardly over-rated. That statment is utter bollocks!I prefer the PDA & their Premier League. Do you mean PDC ? James Wade has shocked me big time. I always thought he had abit of talent but never win a title and now he has won 2. Barney seems to be going missing in these big events now. World Championship gonna be very intresting because i think Mark Dudbridge and Adrian Lewis will come good. Also get well Dennis Priestly, who has cancer. A legend and one of the true greats in darts.
Simi Posted 18 November 2007 Posted 18 November 2007 It's hardly over-rated. That statment is utter bollocks!I prefer the PDA & their Premier League. Next year. We are going. Fact.

The competition in the PDC certainly is awesome at the minute, but as for Mark Dudbridge and Adrian Lewis coming good, I think it'd be wrong to write off Jelle Klaasen and Michael Van Gerwen. They've got immense potential and could well spring a few shocks come New Year's Day. Phil Taylor will be hungry as ever to get back to the top of the world as well, so he's going to prove hard to beat. Terry Jenkins shouldn't be overlooked, nor should, as you said, James Wade. I'd love for Wayne Mardle to have a good run in the World Championships as well, he's a top-quality entertainer. I'm going to see if I can get down to going for a couple of the events nearer the time. And for those of you who like the main PDC competitors, they're currently competing in the Grand Slam of Darts, being shown on ITV1 and ITV4.

Wayne hawaii 501 Mardle is a great guy and one of my favourites. Not the best dart player in the world but the best entertaniner. Remember the year he got to a semi final against Taylor might had been the world championship and he was awesome but sadly lost. Michael Van Gerwen is a very very good dart player but he i think he lacks the little bit of experience on the big stage and the heat gets to him sometimes but in a few years i think he will be a world champion. I think John Part could have a say this year also because his form is picking up and on his day he is a great player. Steve beaton is also one of my favourite and on his night seems to be unbeatable but never has too many good nights. Can't wait for this years final .. LOVE IT.
lcfc_jme Posted 18 November 2007 Posted 18 November 2007 Coincidentally, this Grand Slam of Darts on ITV at the minute just isn't the same. It's got all the players you'd expect to find from the PDC events on Sky, but it lacks the commentary of the Legend that is Sid Waddell and instead of the genius music that is Chase The Sun when the players go on a break, it plays that fooking Chelsea Dagger.

It's true, watching darts just isn't right without Sid Waddell. He makes watching it brilliant And you're also right... Chase the Sun over Chelsea Dagger anyday.
SOCCERROO FOX Posted 19 November 2007 Posted 19 November 2007 Is darts set for a poker style generation where suddenly every one is playing and watching it
Nationwider Posted 19 November 2007 Posted 19 November 2007 Is darts set for a poker style generation where suddenly every one is playing and watching it It doesn't really lend itself to mass online participation, so probably not.
SOCCERROO FOX Posted 20 November 2007 Posted 20 November 2007 It doesn't really lend itself to mass online participation, so probably not. Not exactly what i ment
