Mandaric has agreed a £250,000 compensation package. He has returned from a break in California to offer Holloway a £400,000-per-year deal and the promise of funds to take Leicester back into the Premier League. advertisement Holloway has grown increasingly frustrated by the lack of cash available to him at Plymouth, despite the fact that the club are just outside the play-off positions in the Championship. Mandaric has spent the last two weeks searching for his third manager of the season, after the departure of Gary Megson, and interviewed Joe Royle, Jean Tigana and Graeme Souness. Tigana, the former Fulham manager, was on the final short-list but Mandaric moved quickly to tie up Holloway, who was previously in charge at QPR, after learning he was unhappy at Home Park. Gerry Taggart, the joint caretaker manager with Frank Burrows, will be kept on the back-room staff but Holloway is expected to bring his trusted deputy, Tim Breacker, with him to the east Midlands. Holloway's first game in charge will be Saturday's trip to Bristol City, as he takes over a club who are only two points off the relegation zone. from telegraph
