Manwell Pablo Posted 23 January 2008 Posted 23 January 2008 Well we lost 3-0, but that, without our two best players is something to be really proud of, seeing as they are not only the Div one champions, but the regional champions, and the average relegation suffering team normally gets at least 6 put past them, the average is 8, i think the worst is 14. Had two really good chances and missed them both definatley no upfront antics for me on Saturday. Looking forward to next season the gap between div one and div two is a joke.
Tevez Posted 23 January 2008 Posted 23 January 2008 Top of the league we're having a giggle. Anyone else know what it's like at the top? Tommeh?
lildave3 Posted 24 January 2008 Posted 24 January 2008 Manwell, does a bloke called Matt play on your team? He seemed to be describing a loss against the champions earlier and also mentioned a Burton Albion player.
Manwell Pablo Posted 24 January 2008 Posted 24 January 2008 Manwell, does a bloke called Matt play on your team?He seemed to be describing a loss against the champions earlier and also mentioned a Burton Albion player. I think Matts make up nearly 50% of our team mate . Was he bolding?
lildave3 Posted 24 January 2008 Posted 24 January 2008 I think Matts make up nearly 50% of our team mate .Was he bolding? Erm, I don't think so. Last name is Dennis if that helps.
Manwell Pablo Posted 24 January 2008 Posted 24 January 2008 Erm, I don't think so.Last name is Dennis if that helps. Yeah thats our goal keeper. Very good one at that.
lildave3 Posted 24 January 2008 Posted 24 January 2008 Yeah thats our goal keeper. Very good one at that. What are the chances of that happening.
Manwell Pablo Posted 24 January 2008 Posted 24 January 2008 What are the chances of that happening. Very slim. How did this occur?
lildave3 Posted 24 January 2008 Posted 24 January 2008 Very slim. How did this occur? Well, this mild work lark i'm doing. He's in the same office, an office of 5/6. And he plays in the same 5 a side team as you. Madness. Where do you play?

Where do you play? Hood park in you ment where. Just off the front man if you asked where on the pitch (or on the bench due to me not being a of Burton Albion reserves standerd )

Manwell Pablo Posted 30 January 2008 Posted 30 January 2008 No usual Wendesday up dates, you all too stiff still?
General Smuts Posted 30 January 2008 Author Posted 30 January 2008 No usual Wendesday up dates, you all too stiff still? Just got back in. The pain. Oh the painful pain. Played 2 lost 2 but only just in both cases. Played top of the premier first game (there all our mates and our keeper plays in goal for them) we held our own all game and only lost 3-2 right at the death. Brilliant game very enjoyable but knackered the balls of me. Scored 1. 2nd game we lost 5-3 after being ahead for most of the game but 3 fluke goals from one of our players (playing for them) in the last 2 minutes won it for them. I scored another aswell. Im now going to lie down. For a long time. Ow.
lildave3 Posted 30 January 2008 Posted 30 January 2008 No usual Wendesday up dates, you all too stiff still? Well we played last night, and won 7 and I got 4. But as that as neither in a proper league, 5 a side and against a good team, I didn't feel the need Do you not play until the start of the next season now Manwell?
Fez of Mahrez Posted 30 January 2008 Posted 30 January 2008 No usual Wendesday up dates, you all too stiff still? 7.55pm kick off tonight. Going to a gig in Sheffield tomorrow though (Blood Red Shoes) so don't fancy being too stiff then. Probably have a ten-minute runout this evening.

It started last week. But seeing as we got relegated ( ) and there are only 7 teams in the bottom division we now have 2 "rest weeks" one of which was last week, convieniet really we get a weeks break inbetween seasons and a mid season break
Manwell Pablo Posted 6 February 2008 Posted 6 February 2008 Well, it's the worst 5 a side team in the league tonight, who we are all quite good mates with . They lost 7-1 against the second worst team in the league last week. So assuming they get enough players to play(not very likely as I know their captin is working tonight and they're always struggling to get 5 even when he's playing) this really should be a three point banker. Personally I hope they don't get enough players to play, we have absloutley nothing to gain by playing them and hammering them and quite a bit to lose should we have one of those days were we just don't turn up. Oh and England are on.
General Smuts Posted 6 February 2008 Author Posted 6 February 2008 We played really well despite having a mish mash team together including another fella ive never met and did a job quite well today. Played top of the league who have been beating teams into double figures all season and who we got done 6-2 by last time, we lost 4-0 today and but for an inspired keeping display by there fella we could have been a lot more competetive. Best game weve played for a while passing wise. 2nd game we dint play well and i let in 4 in the first half and only managed to score 2 out of about 5 chances to end the game 4-2.

I would apperciate an answer. Thankfully the rubbish team couldn't get a team, we won 5-0 and got to have a few drinks with the England match, result, I'm thinking I could get used to this division.
